I'm happy to hear that you got a new one, and believe me, no-one is more surprised by what I'm telling you than I am - ebuyer has been my go-to supplier generally for computer components for the last 6 years without issue. But take a look at the pics attached of how my phone was on arrival, and tell me that you would consider this 'new and sealed'?
I had hoped that they were going to tell me that they had accidentally sent me one which had been returned by a previous buyer and then sent me a new one to correct the matter, but they said no such thing, would not give any explanation as to why my phone was received like this, and when I accepted their offer of a replacement provided that it was a new and unused phone, they instead processed it as a refund without any further communication or explanation. To me at least, this suggests that they do not have new ones to send out. Maybe they did have some new ones to start with and only have refurbs left now. Maybe LG did them a deal for 4 refurbs cheap for every new phone they bought and it's pot luck what you get. Maybe a lot of things, I don't know. All I can tell you for sure is my experience with it so far - I bought a 'new' phone, received a repackaged and unsealed phone with fingerprints on the screen, ebuyer are not providing answers to my questions about this and are seemingly unable to fulfill my request for the new and sealed phone which I paid for, preferring to give me a refund to end the matter. Draw your own conclusions.
As for the suggestion that this is 'sour grapes at a deal found'? Don't know what you are getting at there. I've been wanting a G4 for a while, so when the daily ebuyer mail made me aware of this price last week, I jumped on it and it would have been a great deal... had I received a new and sealed phone as advertised. If the phone hadn't been like this when it arrived, I would have been very happy, with no cause to complain. So I really don't understand what you are trying to say here. Just thought I'd share my experience with others so that they can be aware that theirs may be the same...

Mine came factory sealed, but it definitely didn't seem new. It's very easy for them to clean the phone up and put fresh stickers on, they'll put it in a different box with a new seal, done. Now I'm not saying that ebuyer do this, I'm just suggesting that the stock ebuyer have, not all of it is actually new from the factory.
Mine had a chip where the plastic protective film was missing, pressure marks on the screen, and the fingerprints and bubbles on the screen sticker.
Could be bad luck, but I've had phones previously that have the ole bubble ridden screen protector, and none have been in what I'd call new condition. Ordering from a different retailer, usually Amazon, brings me a nice clean shiny phone.

I'm pretty sure you can get away with not voiding the warranty if you don't unlock the bootloader. Mines rooted but still on stock ROM. I was in the same boat but got sick of OPT software issues and overall unreliability, only thing stopping me buying a G4 was the lack of FP scanner but the better SW and Marshmallow update tipped it in G4's favour. The difference is immense as I tried every Kernel and ROM for OPT but it just wasnt good enough. I was using the OPT since september and kept on waiting for that "fix all" update from OP but that never happened.

I've been looking to finally replace my LG Nexus 4 for a while, although it's still going strong in all honesty!

Just upgraded from my N4.
Yes it's bigger and does make life a little more complicated on the stairs if wearing jeans.
And yes, it's the stock LG so all that LG offer comes on it. On the plus side, LG seem to be the only vendor with the double tap to wake and turn off the screen which is handy as the power button is on the back of the phone.
Tempted to unlock my bootloader and root to tweak the OS to my liking.
I upgraded for the excellent 16mp camera and the 32gb + microsd slot storage.

Well mine just turned up! Wasn't expecting it till Tuesday!
I've got my doubts about it being brand new like some others have said about Ebuyer....Firstly it looks like the seal had been put on an already broken seal. Secondly the phone was upside down, rather than facing up and thirdly, and I'm not sure about this one but the peel off screen protector is plain rather than the usual specs on it.
The phone itself is in brand new condition so I can only imagine someone opened it and sent it straight back for whatever reason.
It's cheeky if they really do do this but for the price I'm not complaining.

Mine has just arrived, I ordered it on Tuesday via Flubit. I wasn't really expecting it until after Christmas.
There was no indication inside the packaging as to where it came from.
It was sealed with one circular seal with no evidence of tampering. All the protectors are intact on the screen and the sides of the phone. Charger and Quick Start Guide all fully sealed.

LOL. All phones drop in price as they near the end of their product cycle and retailers look to dump stock. No retailer wants to be lumbered with excess stock of old stock when the new version comes out. The new G5 is slated for release in Spring 2016. Why do you think retailers are dropping prices? The mobile phone divisions of LG made a big loss last year and the leather backing on this phone didn't appeal to buyers. They'll want to get their new replacement phone out sooner rather than later.
Good deal but the LG G5 with its 4K screen will be out soon.....

I see that this deal has been marked expired, but ebuyer still have these in stock. I ordered Wednesday night, arrived Thursday morning, clearly not a 'brand new and factory sealed' phone.
Box was not shrink wrapped, crushed along one side (external packaging not damaged anywhere near where the phone was packed in so not in transit), had two broken security seal stickers, the second placed almost but not quite perfectly over the first to conceal it - not that it mattered as the second seal was broken too anyway. The IMEI / S/no label had similarly been stuck over an older one for whatever handset this box originally belonged to. Lifting the lid of the box, first thing I saw was a big smeared finger or thumb print on the screen.
RMA'd, and they didn't question it at all when sent photos. They asked if a wanted replacement or refund. I said that if they could guarantee that I would get a brand new, unused, factory sealed phone as advertised, then I would like a replacement. Having since checked the RMA, I see that they have listed it for refund, which kind of answers my question to them.
On the off chance that anyone is reading this since it's been closed - AVOID.
Updated - Just checked the page again, and they have today again responded to another customer asking if this is a new and sealed phone saying that it is. I responded disputing that, but the comment awaits approval by their moderation team. I don't expect it to be approved anytime soon!

Forgot to mention - The phone I received was a 506 serial number, produced prior to October 2015. Already mentioned above, but for those not aware, google 'LG G4 bootloop' and you will find that this would have been one of those potentially affected by a known issue which essentially bricked the handset. So either this is a handset from the troubled period which was sent back, repaired, and sent out again as a refurb by LG (but not indicated as being such by ebuyer), or if somehow despite the broken seals and reused box this is, as ebuyer claim, a 'new and unused phone', then it's been sitting on the shelf for 6 months and may still be subject to the potential bootloop issue. Taking a load of LG's returned & repaired phones off their hands might explain why they are at a better price than I've found anywhere else for unlocked sim free G4s...
Anybody who has already ordered and not yet received, check everything carefully as soon as you get it!

2 Jan 16#107
Any idea how we can tell if this is true?
I'm aware of the bootloop issue... the failure rates aren't known, but it sounds like it's on the low end of common. I'm happy enough that storing most data on SD and using LG's backup solution should mean minimal downtime if something does go wrong, and this pretty much falls under the definition of 'covered by warranty'... so I've no major concerns about ordering despite this issue.
But I'd want to be sure the phone was new. It needs to be warranty covered by the manufacturer, not just ebuyer, because ebuyer. It also needs to be NEW, because water damage invalidates a warranty and I don't want someone elses 'used in the bath and only dropped once!' return.

Could be bad luck, but I've had phones previously that have the ole bubble ridden screen protector, and none have been in what I'd call new condition. Ordering from a different retailer, usually Amazon, brings me a nice clean shiny phone.
Might hold off for the Letv Max Pro hopefully in January!
I have resisted a new phone for a year now (Huawei Mate 7) but its getting hard now, think I will wait and spend the extra in the new year
G4 at this price is a bargain though!
Not sure its worth saving a few pounds to get some rubbish from a supplier you can't return easily to
Wish Amazon would drop their prices....
Want bigger screen and better camera.
Only worry is battery life, normally get at least 4 hours SOT, more if I dont turn on 4G.

I'm waiting for the LG G5 personally.
This looks like a good replacement, also made by LG. My concerns are that it's maybe a bit too big for a pocket, and it will come with a load of LG bloatware installed, instead of stock Android.
If it went down by a penny every second for 270 seconds it'd still be £267.29.

What do you mean by a plain screen protector and specs on it?
There was no indication inside the packaging as to where it came from.
It was sealed with one circular seal with no evidence of tampering. All the protectors are intact on the screen and the sides of the phone. Charger and Quick Start Guide all fully sealed.
I've ended up with a serial number starting 509 and another sticker with MEZ664*****(1.1)BL.
How do I check the date of manufacture?
Thanks.

I don't expect it to be approved anytime soon!
this phone with this price is so tempting but reading comments about refub etc, makes it quite questionable offer..
Anybody who has already ordered and not yet received, check everything carefully as soon as you get it!
It also needs to be NEW, because water damage invalidates a warranty and I don't want someone elses 'used in the bath and only dropped once!' return.
although it was a good new year
I had hoped that they were going to tell me that they had accidentally sent me one which had been returned by a previous buyer and then sent me a new one to correct the matter, but they said no such thing, would not give any explanation as to why my phone was received like this, and when I accepted their offer of a replacement provided that it was a new and unused phone, they instead processed it as a refund without any further communication or explanation.
