Boo, I had ran out of my stash and ended up buying Asda's own ones for about £1.75 the other day, ah well time to stock up again! HOT

Great price for these, they had them for the same price at Coop a few months ago, but have eaten all of those so will be stocking up from Tesco when I pass one!

Alpen is not bland! (unless it was the no added sugar version).
Secondly, most cereals out there contain masses of sugar - Curiously Cinnamon, Sugar Puffs, Frosted Shreddies, Krave, Weetabix Minis, even Special K and the so called healthier porridges (Oat So Simple is laden with the stuff!).
Unless you're only eating rolled oats with just milk (boring), Weetabix with nothing added or Shredded Wheat, chances are your usual cereal has quite a lot of sugar in it. But as long as you're not consuming vast quantities during the whole day, you should burn it off without too much effort.
Rice Krispies are pretty good if you want a happy medium. :smiley:

bland?!! the no added sugar version IS the only tasty version, I promise you in a few years time when your taste changes as you get older, you will find regular alpen far too sickly sweet.
also try oats with milk microwaved with salt sprinkled on top, Scottish style, you'll never go back to sweetening your porridge...
