Asus ZenBook UX305 Ultrabooks, Intel Core M, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD (Black and Gold) are back in stock at John Lewis today (£499.95) with 3 year warranty!
Warranty confirmed at 3 years, I have now received a guarantee Email from John Lewis.
Silver version also available at a slightly higher cost but including a Logitech wireless mouse (see post #14 below).
£499 in PC World / Curry's but they only have stock of the white version which will no doubt show any dirt and marks easier.
Customer care difference from John Lewis and extra warranty makes this the best ZenBook UX305 laptop deal out there at the moment.

Seems like a really nice laptop. A metal body, SSD, Full HD screen, fairly slim (12.3mm), B&O speakers, it's lightweight (1.2Kg and comes with a 3 year guarantee.

First we had 14" laptops, then we had 15" laptops, then we had 17" laptops, then we had 13" laptops, then we had 11" laptops.
There's progress.

We had mobile phones like bricks, then Nokia et al started shrinking them to lipstick size, and now guess what?

How does this laptop handle Football Manager games? I presume the CPU will be a bit weak?
By comparison, I have a desktop with an i5 2500K CPU and looking at CPU benchmarks, the Intel M in this laptop is still half that of my nearly 5 year old 2nd gen i5. I know it's difficult to compare desktops to laptops and there's always a trade off but I'm wondering if I should look beyond benchmark numbers and get real users views on this and particularly those who play FM on similar spec laptops.
Cheers!

it's pretty daft to compare an i5 with core m. the latter is for mobility and battery saving. it's good for web browsing and normal usage. defo not for gaming. but this is a cracking laptop though. bought one from malaysia. worked out £350 with the exchange rate

I don't play FM, but i checked minimum requirements for that game and they state pentium 4. Of course this CPU will run FM without any trouble as it can run GTA 5 and skyrim on low settings in HD resolution with no problem. It can also run league of legends at high settings in fullHD at 60fps.
What an idiotic comment. Why don't you be a bit more helpful and format your hard drive?
Please punch your screen before you write nonsense and embarrass yourself. This CPU has about the same performance as i5-4210u and only requires 1/3 of their power (4.5w) therefore being much better and more expensive too.
I have a tablet with this CPU it's amazing. Full blown specs and only costed £110 during black friday sales. Lucky me.
