These flimsy "bits of plastic & metal" are finally descending to a price befitting of their worth. How the manufacturers deceived us into paying a small fortune for the things for so many years is beyond me. Sub 20 quid will generate heat from me, abstaining on this one.

I would think that each shift in storage capacity would require a total refit of equipment to manufacture it, hence why they try to recoup their investment. I remember in 1996 paying close to £700 for a 2 GB HDD - things are moving in the right direction imo :smirk:

 I thought I was bad! I bought a 1GB SCSI HDD in 1993 for almost £750 quid. In 1985 I bought my first floppy drive for £160. Things are definitely going the right direction.

the theoretical maximum for SD cards is 2TB so there's loads of room for increases!

My Memory constantly tries to hide the write speeds of memory cards which is often less than half of the read speed. The write speed for this card appears to be "up to" 45mb/s.

1. Write speed is usually half or less of read speed in most memory cards, so nothing new..
2. 45mb/s write speed is definitely not bad at all... and you will not find same or better speeds at this price point
