Was lucky enough to see Kirsty perform this live during a Pogues tour in '87, fantastic singer. Her Kite album is well worth a listen.
The first 3 Pogues albums are sheer class and McGowan is lyrical genius considering his normal physical state.
The single best Christmas song ever written, no question.

Kept off the 1987 Christmas number one by the Pet Shop Boys and a cover of Elvis's "Always On My Mind".
Got this on CD Single. Great Christmas song.

It got to number 2 on release and was only kept from the #1 spot by the Pet Shop Boys' cover version of "Always on My Mind" (and you had to sell a lot of copies to get into the top ten in those days) so I'm not sure it's fair to say that it died a death!
