Okay, so we've seen a lot of these deals recently, but this is the one that has persuaded me to part with the dosh. This is pretty similar to the Xiaomi Yi but seems to have better 1080p picture quality. I've been looking at a lot of comparison videos and I prefer the videos of this camera over the Yi. It's also got a 2" display. Although it does 4k video it only does this at 10fps so it's probably not worth using that feature to compare it against the Yi. That said, I'm no expert so don't take my word for it, compare them yourself and see what you think. :smiley:

I wouldn't touch Gearbest. Ordered a tablet from them which doesn't connect to WIFI. Their after service is terrible. Sent several emails to arrange a refund with zero communication. NEVER AGAIN

Yup, it's a gimmick, but 1080p is very decent.

Shame it sounds like there's no video play back via the display screen. Would be something I'd consider down the line.

Probably only 4 or 5mp, but the video quality looks pretty good for the money. This is the video that convinced me:
EDIT: seems to be 12mp according to some eBay listings. The specs also state that it takes 12mp pictures so...

Xiaomi Yi - does not have screen (yes I see that you can buy something like ad-on).
Yi 2k video at 30fps vs 4k at 10 fps (which one is more useful?)
In my opinion in that price range Yi is the best.

From what I can gather, the Yi is slightly better when it comes to image stabilisation but the h9 is sharper and has much better audio quality.

This is actually a pretty good review. Quite long but worth listening to. There's a few good examples of the camera in use at the end of the video.
Audio never bothered me tbh (my yi is or in waterproof housing or strapped to quadcopter).
There was issue with lens not being set properly on some yi`s (quite large number) but there was/is diy fix to rectify it (my one never had any issue).
