the game had major technical issues, at launch, which where sorted a long time ago. the support for this game is amazing and is continued to be worked on till today.

Because it flopped on release and was a bit of a failure for Sony perhaps? The 2nd hand market is also flooded with this game which obviously has a knock on effect on demand for digital and new hard copies which results in discounts. Customers are the real winners here though and Sony can carry on scraping what they can for this sorry excuse of a racer until gt7 lands when everyone will forget all about this

Uncharted Collection also got a good discount, so I imagine it's down to Sony being more willing to discount their first-party titles. Sony has been very aggressive in their pricing on first-party titles - games like God of War III, Tearaway Unfolded and DriveClub have all been quickly discounted. The only real exception to this seems to be Bloodborne.
I imagine between the aggressive bundling, discounted sales and season pass/DLC sales that DriveClub has ended up being a sleeper hit for Sony.

I bought the cheaper PS Plus version when it was released, and when my sub ran out i couldnt play the game anymore. Maybe its for that situation, and if i then bought the game in disc or full price from the store, my progress would carry over.

They gave away Driveclub for PS+ a while back, it wasn't the full game, but just partial. They are just clarifying that if you buy this version, which is the full version, your progress will carry over.

I am thoroughly against 'season passes' in principle. You buy a game so you should get all the content. However in Drive Club's case the amount of extra content is so overwhelming I havnt even come close to finishing it and probably never will. Its a game that just keeps giving. The game is essential for any racing fan and the season pass adds a tremendous amount of value.
This is my favourite racer since Gran Turismo 3.

I am with you on that, if I buy a game especially at launch costing anywhere upto £50, I don't expect to then keep buying stuff to make the game complete, so stay away from DLC unless it is free, although like yourself already having this game there was a deal on a few weeks back for the season pass was something like £5 so I took the plunge and purchased it then, but I prefer driving games would not do it regularly!!

I bought the full game (digitally) when it first came out - and it took weeks before it was even playable. I therefore didn't bother with the season pass. Not sure how much it is to buy by itself? Wondering if it'd work if I bought this bundle, whether it'd give me the season pass for £9.99 or say no, you've already bought this game.

So my question is.... Is one PS+ sub enough for maybe 4 different accounts to play online? Or does each account need a separate PS+ sub

Driveclub was a bit naff but has matured into a great racer with tons of content which are still being added. AMG pack was added this month as well. ste_sully on PSN if you want challenges.

For £9.99 this is a bargain. You're getting maybe 50+ hours worth of content easily with the main game on its own. Not sure how many DLC series there are now, must be around a dozen or so, each of which offers perhaps around 2 hours of events each. Buy Driveclub bikes as well for £12 and you have even more to keep you going.
Oh, and new tracks on their way too early next year.

Not exactly the greatest driving game compared to it's competitors (Great visuals but pretty shallow and shame they went 30fps). Additionally all the issues that plagued this game for over a year (as well as the terrible way they broke promises with the PS+ version) understandably gave this game the bad reputation it deserved....but at this price with all that content finally included, it's hard to say no. Heat added.

I don't think they ever said the season pass would be free and considering all the effort and free updates they have rolled out this is 100% worth it. The season pass makes the base game 10x bigger. You won't get a game this packed out with content for a better price.

The season pass you get with this gave you extra stuff, usually monthly, over 9 months. It has ended now but your season pass will give you everything that has been released so far for it, except for the bikes. They haven't released a 2nd season pass yet.
