Obviously the number of people that play it daily has dropped due to the age of the game but I'm on their daily and the game still has a huge following with the player base still going strong.

People definitely are. I've played since the Alpha and loved it, but dropped off recently. Taken King was a big boom for me and I was on almost every night for 2-3 hours easy but since these new 'events' have started occurring I've been put off. I really dislike the way Bungie have decided to monetise the game (personal opinion) but it shouldn't affect your enjoyment at all.

Not even joking when i say half my friends list literally play Destiny non stop. Whenever they are online they are playing Destiny and its been like that since it released so they definitely got their moneys worth.

Can't comment on current numbers, but it was recently announced that 'The Taken King' will be the last paid main expansion until Destiny Year 3 (Fall 2016), with all new content until then being free (sounds like this will be structured around events i.e. Sparrow Racing). So on one hand you will be good for the best part of the next year with this edition, however the lack of any major expansion until that point may see numbers drop?

All these expansions, are they multiplayer stuff? Or is it just the same repetitive stuff as the campaign?

To be fair most of the endgame activities from the original Destiny, dark below and house of wolves are redundant, but in order to access most of the taken king multiplayer and endgame content, ie raids, iron banner, Heroic and nightfall strikes and Trials of Osiris, you need to be lvl 40 which is only accessible through having the taken king, otherwise you're stuck with a shell of a game at a level cap of 34

I wasn't happy about having to buy the game a second time just to get taken king but I don't regret it! A must buy if you like first person shooters.

Great game and yes there are still loads of people playing it, but just a word of warning for anyone ordering this, I ordered a game from Game two weeks ago and I am still waiting for it to be delivered (it took them a week to dispatch it), they are blaming black Friday and cyber Monday for delays !!.
