People think that on 26th Dec, CPW should drop to £349 and GiffGaff may have a few at £299.
Argos has these at £349 before Black Friday plus Quidco cashback.

Been looking at last year trends, the Samsung Galaxy S5 was 525 and dropped to £279 on Vodafone PAYG on 24Th Dec.
Currently the S6 is £525 on Voda payg, so if last year trends are followed then we could see same happen this year. Unlock is about a fiver on ebay. Then get it flashed with a stock rom via Odin and you have a unbranded sim free Galaxy S6 for under £299.
Thats what im predicting, i reckon a couple of flagships on voda payg will be chopped down like last year.

ahh man I could not pay more than £200 for a phone. .why are these phones so overpriced when you can get decent alternatives for half the price..

I agree. With the Chinese manufactuers coming of age, even £100 buys a decent phone. People like to pay for a "brand". May be schools should teach "de-branding"! Aldi and Lidl have taught the big supermarkets a lesson.

its 2k oled and so on. The specs more than justify the price. Its just a shame that samsung doesn't do micro sd anymore.

Whilst people do buy for brand names, I believe when buying tech it pays to get branded items. Especially with phones. It's easy to look at the hardware specs of a £100 phone and see that they are similar/the same as a £500 phone but you are paying for quality. Better software, R&D, after care support etc.
iPhones tend to have lower spec hardware than most Samsungs but the way an iPhone runs the software and the fact that Apple only need to make 1 OS for all their phones means it generally runs better/more stable. Not trying to start a fanboy war here. Just stating that you do get what you pay for and for some people (heavy users) a £100 phone aint gonna cut it.

Was in Hong Kong in the summer and almost everyone I met had either a Samsung S6/Edge or a LG G4. Not many people were using iphones or cheap China phones apart from mainlanders.

The iphone cost is not based on the quality of the product, but the eye watering profit margins.

I think they are fine as long as you purchase a spare battery. It all depends what you want to use it.

so tempted to buy this phone, but the battery life is so poor, guess thats why they are trying to get rid of these fast.

Bad deal and ugly phone. Better phones out there for 1/2 the price.
