Comes with 32-bit Windows 10, see Post #60 (feedback/photos from TechTablets user Mikaboshi), unlike competing Cherry Trail tablets like the Teclast X98 Pro.
Edit: There are reports from this Aliexpress seller that it will have 64-bit Windows 10 installed, also newer versions from other vendors. Confusing! (Post #62).
Thanks to kurai who says on Post #65 "The most recent batch are slight h/w updates - blue USB3 port instead of black & Hynix eMMC drive instead of Samsung but most significantly ... 64-bit UEFI/BIOS & Windows."

I paid £151 for the Hi10, dock keyboard & DHL tracked delivery from VC Mall @ AliExpress.
VC Mall labelled the package as a $39 e-reader for customs purposes.
Not sure what the proportion of each was, since there was no breakdown but total of Duty/VAT + DHL customs handling fee was £15.

Just had an email from Dealsmachine (not sure what they're like as a retailer) saying the Chuwi Hi10 is £103.91 for the next 5 days. Flat Rate Shipping is £14.87 (for tracking number it's an additional £1.32) which takes it to £118.78.
It seems to be par for the course for these "Shenzhen parts-bin specials" - normally I would have waited until the early glitches had been ironed out but the Black Friday prices got the better of me

why? because it has windows 32bit installed. no problem, i thought id just install 64 bit.

Yes, reading that is a bit of a bummer. I'm pretty sure a few of the new Cherry Trails ARE 64-bit Windows (Teclast X98 Pro being one).
Well I just blagged my entire £535 insurance payout code number I had from RBS to be used in CPW as a full payable by cheque refund, so banging result there, all because they wanted an extra £50 for Wi-Fi on the gold model. It was £99 in white and on the 8.0 version they 3 colours were the same price but in this case they wanted £50 for gold so I asked to speak to sales manager, She asked why and I said because of her initial attitude. She also refused to price match PC World and Currys haha who are the same chain and when I told her this was also why she offered to refund the correct amount. I told her we were well past that and if she had behaved like a respactable advisor and human being we wouldnt be in this position, the supervisor eventually came on and when I explained that I got my G Flex 2 for between £140-150 off Rakuten after cashback and discount codes last week and just missed theTab S2 for £160 plus the superpoints and I had saw theS2 for approx £240 earlier somewherehesaid he would just refund me my whole £535 and I should pick up an S2 elsewhere at a much lower price so happy days!!
After being gutted at losing my G Flex and Sammy Tab S 8.4, I now have the Flex 2,will get the Tab S 2 9.7 with 4G , even with having to pay £75 excess on phone, Im still up a few quid!! Happy Days.
Any recommendations other then the Tab S " 9.7 but dont say Apple as I just dont get on with Apple products and they are overpiced massively? Cheers
(Bought from Taobao and not with the official keyboard, Mikaboshi says it is a generic keyboard).
Interesting as it seems the official Chuwi docking keyboard has a touchpad, but in the "free keyboard/case" pictures (on this thread Post #1), the keyboard looks identical to the generic one Mikaboshi received and doesn't sound too happy about.

A few updates from the TechTablets forum today, member Mikaboshi provides some detail: apparently a much better eMMC drive this time around, the build is solid - though the USB ports can't power DVD drives/HDDs, etc.
The UEFI seems to be 32bit. Apparently the speakers are "really terrible" (though whether it's just that one person's tablet or across the board, remains to be seen) - improvement after installing the Realtek I2S driver. Screen contrast and brightness is decent on a plastic screen, apparently.
I had a feeling something like this was fast approaching the store shelves. Still went for the Linx 1010B for £124 but had a niggling feeling Linx were dropping the price to get rid of old stock/units before launching Cherrytrail models in 2016.
The Linx is still going back to Currys/PCWorld tomorrow.

Dealsmachine (presale) is even cheaper - but are they reputable?

it may become dualboot with a future optional firmware update but no guarantee. They froze shipping out the first batch of these due to overheating problems so not many people who pre ordered them have got theres yet. the overheating was a firmware/software issue so it will get resolved.
it does look like a cracking tablet for the price but I would expect shipping to take some time.
I ordered a tablet on the 11.11 sale and I haven't even got accurate shipping info yet with most other buyers being the same.

It can do when it comes to releasing Bios and driver updates to fix problems that should have been identified and sorted before the product was released. The point i'm trying to make is people should do a little research before buying. These chinese deals are great for the tech savvy but are most definitely not ideal for everyone.

A word of caution. These chinese tablet deals offer the latest tech at bargain prices but skimp on R&D and generally provide a poor customer experience. As for a guarantee and future updates - best of luck because you'll need it as you'll be on your own. If you are tech minded, don't mind a degree of risk and like the challenge of sorting out bugs and glitches, then these can be a great purchase. If you want a device that does the job, regular updates and a guarantee that means something then stick with something like a uk sourced Nexus 9 which is a top notch product.
