*get an original keyboard case with first 200 sales, first come first served*

Comes with 32-bit Windows 10, see Post #60 (feedback/photos from TechTablets user Mikaboshi), unlike competing Cherry Trail tablets like the Teclast X98 Pro.

Edit: There are reports from this Aliexpress seller that it will have 64-bit Windows 10 installed, also newer versions from other vendors. Confusing! (Post #62).

Thanks to kurai who says on Post #65 "The most recent batch are slight h/w updates - blue USB3 port instead of black & Hynix eMMC drive instead of Samsung but most significantly ... 64-bit UEFI/BIOS & Windows."

There is a question at the bottom which says (excuse the Chinglish but I'm quoting as it is on the listing) - I assume as this is a promotion the same rule applies:

How to declare the item during the period of 11.11?
We are willing to help for declarence to avoid your high custom tax, we will declare at tablet pc 41usd during the period of 11.11 as experience most country not cause custom problem, we will try our best to avoid custom fee but cannot 100% sure no custom fee. As it's pre-order everywhere I doubt you'll get it from an EU warehouse at the moment http://www.banggood.com/Chuwi-Hi10-64GB-Cherry-Trail-Z8300-Quad-Core-1_84-GHz-10_1-Inch-Window10-Tablet-p-1004298.html

I asked Aliexpress Live Chat when the preview price would start -

Candy 11-26 02:21:35 There is no exact time when it will start but we are using PST time(China Time).
The time here right now is 10:21 am. Don't worry there will be a countdown they will post a time in the page just monitor the page.

I'll update when the page shows the countdown - unsure if it will start at midnight 27 November Chinese time yet.

This is a good deal, but the Chuwi Hi10 has just been released and their have been reports of over heating already.

I'm waiting for the issues/bugs to be ironed out a little.

Techtablets is good place to read up about these types of Tablets.

26 Nov 15 #27
A word of caution. These chinese tablet deals offer the latest tech at bargain prices but skimp on R&D and generally provide a poor customer experience. As for a guarantee and future updates - best of luck because you'll need it as you'll be on your own. If you are tech minded, don't mind a degree of risk and like the challenge of sorting out bugs and glitches, then these can be a great purchase. If you want a device that does the job, regular updates and a guarantee that means something then stick with something like a uk sourced Nexus 9 which is a top notch product.

26 Nov 15 #24
it may become dualboot with a future optional firmware update but no guarantee. They froze shipping out the first batch of these due to overheating problems so not many people who pre ordered them have got theres yet. the overheating was a firmware/software issue so it will get resolved.
it does look like a cracking tablet for the price but I would expect shipping to take some time.
I ordered a tablet on the 11.11 sale and I haven't even got accurate shipping info yet with most other buyers being the same.
I would say there is a very low chance you would get this in time for xmas especially with no confirmation that the heat issues havevbeen solved.

26 Nov 15 #31
I'm really tempted too...but in two minds because the details of the early Chuwi Hi10's issues are sketchy. I can see on TechTablets people are waiting on their 11.11 sale purchases (from Gearbest? or Aliexpress? not sure) and in limbo.

I was all excited about the Telcast X98 Pro (new Cherry Trail tablet) but that has had its overheating issues as well.

26 Nov 15 1 #29
It can do when it comes to releasing Bios and driver updates to fix problems that should have been identified and sorted before the product was released. The point i'm trying to make is people should do a little research before buying. These chinese deals are great for the tech savvy but are most definitely not ideal for everyone.

OP .. I'm a little baffled here?, your Deal says a Windows 10 only Tablet?, but your Web-Link at:

But for whatever reason neither your Deal Title, your Deal Description &/or the Merchants own Website speaks of/makes mention of this Android 5.1 OS of their alleged Dual-Boot Windows 10/Android 5.1. Tablet?, so what is it ..... (or am I missing something?).

Sorry, guys. I've only ever made small-ish purchases on Aliexpress before. As it states 1465 orders we can safely assume the free case/keyboard and keyboard offers are gone :disappointed:

Dealsmachine has this for around £104 but it doesn't come with a keyboard, it says "available 10/12/15" and I'm not sure what Dealsmachine are like as a retailer.

I had a feeling something like this was fast approaching the store shelves. Still went for the Linx 1010B for £124 but had a niggling feeling Linx were dropping the price to get rid of old stock/units before launching Cherrytrail models in 2016.

The Linx is still going back to Currys/PCWorld tomorrow.

Chuwi Hi10. More ram, higher res, and 14nm CPU. What's not to like? Well apart from the distance if you need to return it :-(. Super tempted though....
louiselouise to Gatchaman
28 Nov 15 1 #49
(sorry, I've edited this as I thought I was replying on the Linx Vision thread) I've had my eye on the Chuwi Hi10 myself - the deal is still ongoing.

Dealsmachine (presale) is even cheaper - but are they reputable?

It's likely I will hold off until Linx or a UK-sold competitor (hopefully) bring out a Chuwi Hi10/Teclast X98 Pro competitor, at least there's no worries about warranty.

A few updates from the TechTablets forum today, member Mikaboshi provides some detail: apparently a much better eMMC drive this time around, the build is solid - though the USB ports can't power DVD drives/HDDs, etc.

http://techtablets.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/20151128_0345282.jpgThe UEFI seems to be 32bit. Apparently the speakers are "really terrible" (though whether it's just that one person's tablet or across the board, remains to be seen) - improvement after installing the Realtek I2S driver. Screen contrast and brightness is decent on a plastic screen, apparently.

From here: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/first-batch-of-negative-reports-on-hi10/

User review from TechTablets member Mikaboshi: http://techtablets.com/2015/11/chuwi-hi10-first-user-hands-on/

(Bought from Taobao and not with the official keyboard, Mikaboshi says it is a generic keyboard).

Interesting as it seems the official Chuwi docking keyboard has a touchpad, but in the "free keyboard/case" pictures (on this thread Post #1), the keyboard looks identical to the generic one Mikaboshi received and doesn't sound too happy about.

Well I just blagged my entire £535 insurance payout code number I had from RBS to be used in CPW as a full payable by cheque refund, so banging result there, all because they wanted an extra £50 for Wi-Fi on the gold model. It was £99 in white and on the 8.0 version they 3 colours were the same price but in this case they wanted £50 for gold so I asked to speak to sales manager, She asked why and I said because of her initial attitude. She also refused to price match PC World and Currys haha who are the same chain and when I told her this was also why she offered to refund the correct amount. I told her we were well past that and if she had behaved like a respactable advisor and human being we wouldnt be in this position, the supervisor eventually came on and when I explained that I got my G Flex 2 for between £140-150 off Rakuten after cashback and discount codes last week and just missed theTab S2 for £160 plus the superpoints and I had saw theS2 for approx £240 earlier somewherehesaid he would just refund me my whole £535 and I should pick up an S2 elsewhere at a much lower price so happy days!!

After being gutted at losing my G Flex and Sammy Tab S 8.4, I now have the Flex 2,will get the Tab S 2 9.7 with 4G , even with having to pay £75 excess on phone, Im still up a few quid!! Happy Days.

Any recommendations other then the Tab S " 9.7 but dont say Apple as I just dont get on with Apple products and they are overpiced massively? Cheers

Re the 64-bit Windows version conundrum:

http://forum.banggood.com/forum-topic-118095.html

Another reply from Emily_zhao at Banggood: "I am sorry that the answer to your question was wrong.
The first batch of the Hi10 tablet comes with the 32 bits windows, but you can update the system into 64 bits.
The 64-bit Windows version is availablle in 2 months. Thanks for your question very much!"

Confused? I am!

Maryn on TechTablets forum says "My VC seller..." (the aliexpress seller of this Preview Deal) "...also responds in the same tyle…What I did not ask it would be fixed  They confirmed that: screen flickering issue, driver issues, heat issues will be fixed. We will get new devices. Windows 64bit will be installed."

... *maybe* ...

The most recent batch are slight h/w updates - blue USB3 port instead of black & Hynix eMMC drive instead of Samsung but most significantly ... 64-bit UEFI/BIOS & Windows.

Yesterday someone (unlcear if a Chuwi employee or an AliExpress vendor ?) uploaded what is purported to be a 64-bit UEFI upgrade plus a 64-bit Windows install disk image on a Chinese file-sharing site but the customer they posted it for has yet to say if the files are legit and/or worked successfully.

(See this thread: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/chuwi-hi10-bios-update-for-x64/ )

Update: The new revisions have Realtek rather than Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth adpaters as well as the Hynix/Samsung HD change
