If your are looking for an iron, you will struggle to find a better one cheaper than this, possibly the cheapest ever, not big and heavy, small, light and powerful, always found Bosch and Philips make the best irons, cheap enough to buy as a spare.

For people buying - I've owned this for a couple of years and although Bosch stuff is great, this is very poorly designed. The filling of the iron is a total nightmare and water goes all over the place as the hole is tiny and air gets trapped. When it's full I also find there is a lot of excess water that comes out of the bottom that isn't generated into steam. £24.99 may seem like good value but it could end up driving you crazy!!!
I've just checked the newer model and can see they've totally redesigned the filling spout....

I have also owned this iron, hence my reason for posting, agree it can be tricky to fill, the reviews on the whole are very good, and for ironing, its a brilliant iron. ( 200 5*, 32 1* on Amazon reviews )

Hot deal anyway. But I will hold.

No problem - I thought I may have been harsh, but then read on Amazon that many people have exactly the same issues and it's a common fault. An hours ironing needs about 4 fills and each time is a nightmare. I'm looking for a new iron, but it's hard to get motivated about buying an iron!!!

my bosch iron was a nightmare - worked well for a few months and then just started leaking limescale and other bits - tried everything to clean it but didn't succeed, water was leaking out the bottom - had to return after 6 months as just so fed up - shame as I love bosch products in general

Have had one of these irons for about 2 years, the soleplate has started to disintergrate.
Reviews suggest this is common I would not buy again.

I'm fussy with irons too.
it has to be perfect and 5/10 they are not.

I bought my Daughter a Bosch Steam generator I was lucky enough to get one for 60 quid which is about half what they usually sell for. I have 2 grandchildren and the Bosch is a real Time saver on the ironing and make it a lot easier.
