I was looking for a new monitor earlier and purchased this. It's the only height adjustable monitor I could find for under £120. Currently £130 on amazon which is the lowest price it's been on there according to camel camel camel.

What's wrong with TN panels? You all purchased them previously to play games or surf the Internet?
It's all down to individual choice whether you choose TN, VA or IPS variants.

No-one said anything is wrong, he literally just said "TN panel"; useful information omitted from OP's post.

I'm buying my son a monitor for gaming and from what Ive read a TN panel is what I'm supposed to be looking for, is that right?

IPS are better according to the majority due to better viewing angles and colour display. I went for the view sonic that was on the other day for £99 arriving today so can't comment. But you could spend more and get all the bells and whistles on it but for me hooking it up to a console I think it's a good one and reviews are favourable.
That particular monitor is relatively well reviewed. I must admit I looked at it but went for mine that I did for it being an IPS screen and price. It depends what you want out of one.

it's good for video games and for when you're sitting in front of it, if you're planning on watching films from bed or a distance then it's not very good because of the viewing angles

Or buy your preferred monitor and then buy an universal height adjustable stand VESA mount from eBay for £10 and make any monitor height adjustable!

TN panels have narrow viewing angles so what's the point of making it rotate and height adjustable IF there may be issues with angle of viewing?
