800mah and 10 hours to charge, be lucky to power any toy for more an hour or two with these.

Agreed. Most AAA batteries have more power than these AAs. Can't beat Eneloops, IMHO. You pay for them, but as someone who has tried to cut corners with rechargeable batteries before, Eneloops are well worth the investment.
