Do most recent mainstream films that are sourced via France come with English language option? Am I correct in assuming they do as most will have been filmed in English originally?

Most of the time. Not always. You can check the languages on the packaging.
To save money on mastering and replication they generally like to put several languages on one disc in order that the same disc can be sold in several regions.

Just ordered £18.76 all in, looking forward to getting it as never really got into the Pacific like I did band of brothers plus never seen in bluray so a nice early Christmas present for myself lol. Bit of guess work as I don't speak or understand a word of French but if I can manage should be ok for most

What an excellent couple of series.
When I watched the Pacific originally a number of years ago I had the sound turned up so high it actually made me feel on edge and fearful during some of the more intense battle sequences.
