Not really that bad of a price for an i5, 8GB, 1TB. Spec's are ok. See what you think and vote it. Curry's do offer £4.00 quidco on this to.

Apologies for the late reply..... I bought No 2 and Just received It today (using It as I type !!!)
Seems good and the screen Is a gorgeous 17" Only negative at moment Is that It has a big pad and the buttons seem to have been squeezed together...... Every laptop has It's negative though so hopefully will get use to It !
Main thing Its a I5 8gb.
I bought this from ebay and she only had 1 left, will get more In the new year.
Just check ebay I'm sure you will find a good one.

Had a look at one in Currys today and thought the screen looked awful. All washed out, even tried to change the settings and it still looked poor. The non HD Toshiba next to it, looked better !

I've got this laptop, very happy with it once i'd installed an SSD and put the 1TB HDD is the ODD bay. Granted the screen isn't the best but it's good enough for me.

Been looking at this for my lad, debating to look elsewhere now I've seen comments regarding screen
Seems that most are selling the cheapest option with the non-HD screen. Are the people saying the screen is bad sure that they saw the HD spec?

Is this really 1080 though?
I was looking at it last week and only PC World/Curry's say it is 1080p. Everywhere else the exact same model is 1366 x 768.
I dont trust that it is full HD.

Hi Guy's,
Need your help asap please, I'm thinking of purchasing a laptop now pls help me choose which one ?
1) Dell 15 5000 i3 4gb @ £259
2) Dell 17 (17 inch screen) 5758 i5 8gb windows 10 £330

down to 379 quid now, must be all the negative feedback about the display, suugest you pay over the internet and have it delivered, that way you can return within the 14 day cooling of period so long as everything is present and correct
have to assume this order over the internet and pay in store is a way for the knownothing people to avoid the 14 day cooling off period

saw this one in store, very good specs for the price BUT very very cheap TN panel with poor viewing angles and poor quality keyboard

This was £400 a few months ago and I went to get one due to being a 1080p screen. After finding a store with the screen on I decided against it. The screen is horrendous. Its seriously bad.
Got £30 of it so worked out at £320. The cpu seems on power with the i5 in the deal above.

i saw one of these in pc world, the screen is pretty poor to be honested, really blurry and the viewing angles arent great either

The screen has been critizised in reviews as very low contrast and sub-standard.

Asus have a software for screen calibration which in default sets out to super vivid (super turd more like).
I turned that off and got a much better picture, but saying that, this is a budget laptop so it's not fancy.

higher price quoted is obviously rubbish, would never have sold quantities at that price, but at last a basic spec machine at sub £400, and by basic i mean 15.6 inch screen, 1tb hard drive, 8gb ram, i5-5200u cpu, but with a FHD resolution, heat added

Was looking to pick this up, but not a fan of the matte screen. Looks really washed out. Otherwise would have taken it as ticks all the other boxes.
