I would assume the difference between the A and I models is the inline remote. The Model number on the phone is the same for both models.

xsi = iOS / xsa = android, probably same but designed so the controls work with the specific device

I used to use AKG microphones when recording instruments, always good sounding audio from them. I haven't listened to a pair of their headphones/earphones but I would expect quality.
Might grab a pair of these.

Amazon reviews aren't that great. Was about to buy. Confused now.
AKG aren't what they used to be since they outsourced the majority of their production to China.

I don't agree with that sweeping statement.
I have some Shure earphones which were £150ish, and some cheap £10 JVC things that sound fine, just the lack in build quality.
