Housed in a heavy, thick-walled and non-resonant wood cabinet, the Kurzweil KS-40A speakers sport a magnetically shielded 2-way bass reflex design and a compact footprint.
Featuring a premium 3/4" dome tweeter and wide-range 4" woofer, 20W RMS system amplification and separate volume and bass adjustments, the Kurzweil KS-40A system is an ideal monitoring solution for the personal project studio or keyboard setup.

One of the best studio speakers out there for the price.
Was interested in M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 which were posted above but same as user before me I read some negative reviews as there was something off putting.
I would highly recomend them.
I had them for about 4 years now and really they are great. Not thinking of changing them as for that price you can't get anything better in my opinion (2.0 system), unless you willing to spend over 200 pound +/- on Yamaha HS5 they were called if I remeber correctly.
To answer JoeSpur question - plug it straight for PC not a problem, no amp needed nothing like that.
If someone is going to buy them I would advice to spend on dedicated soundcard, it does make a huge difference then.
Hope I helped.

Seems a good deal but I hate it when the company name isn't in the title.

How good are these? Can they plug straight into PC or will I need an amp? I have Microlab FC360 and they are just OK despite the rave reviews. My old Creative Soundworks Digital 2.1 from early 2000s were waaaaaaay better!

If I'm not mistaken these things are used in music production, that's what they're designed for, so a separate amp/mixer is surely obligatory.

I was interested in those before but heard something bad that put me off. I can't remember what though... I will look again
They're active powered speakers so nope, you don't need an amp. One will have an inbuilt amp and the other will be a passive speaker powered by the amp.
