Half the roast lengthways, pack it around with stuffing of choice and wrap in pastry. Makes a good Wellington.

The validity of stating a highly subjective personal preference on a deals website aside. The fact that Quorn is a product that has sold in the billions shows that it must have something to offer. Just like people say Tofu is disgusting, which it is if you eat it almost raw, but if cooked and flavoured properly it can be as nice as anything else. Had some tofu cooked and flavoured into mock bacon in Life Cafe in Hong Kong and it was lovely, which was a consensus amongst the mostly meat eating group. It's down to the cooking.

No full stop in the title. I thought it was £6 for a pound of vegetables. That's expensive. But for 4 x 454g is pretty good.
Some quorn products are better than others I guess. Quorn mince in chilli con carnie is almost indistinguishable to real meat. And quorn sausages are pretty nice in toad in the hole.
But then £6 does buy quite a bit of real meat... hmmm...

Nothing to do with cooking, was just really bad, I decided to replace the mince in making burritos, and it was absolutely horrible.

Food is as bland as your ability to cook is.
The fact that so many takeaways don't have the meat you think you're getting shows how it's not the meat that makes it, but the cooking and flavours added.

I have no culinary skills whatsoever, but even I should be able to manage this, hopefully. Would feta cheese work with it, do you think?

bought this for £2 in sainsbury's recently. want to see what all the hype about roast is about!
great price as normally always £3 and rarely discounted
disappointed that the turkey steaks aren't on the site at all, whether on offer or full price
they really are the blandest, least enjoyable choice in the range, but at 16% protein/less than 4% fat/6.5% carbs they're great for post gym/weight loss. not too dissimilar to the chicken fillets which is a good alternative to the turkey steaks (whose availability is generally quite limited). (currently in sainsbury's at £1.75 for a pack of 4, which is a small discount from its usual £2 but also a rare opportunity to actually buy the product as few supermarkets actually stock it.)

Yes in the same way Living will Kill you in the end!
Do you mean the very rare allergic reactions some people can have?
From the website:
Can I be intolerant to Quorn?
“Quorn™ products have been eaten for more than 30 years with nearly 3 billion Quorn meals now served.
However, it’s important to know that Quorn foods can contain allergens, such as egg, milk and gluten. These are clearly marked on the back of pack within the ingredient declaration and the allergy advice section.
There have been rare cases of allergic reactions to products which contain mycoprotein, a member of the fungi / mould family (fusarium venenatum). Mycoprotein is high in protein and fibre which may cause intolerance in some people.
The foods standards agency states that “research estimates that between 1 in 100,000 to 200,000 people will react to it” (Quorn ™ products).
All protein foods have the potential to cause an adverse reaction in some consumers. About one in 200 people are thought to be intolerant to soya for example.”

Nah, not dodgy like that.
