For anyone who doesn't have an open fire and perhaps thinks it's a bad idea to start one in the middle of their living room just to cook some chestnuts these are good done in the oven....score the skins with a knife, shove (sorry place) on a baking tray and bake for about 20mins

I know its only local, but I would presume all good fresh fruit n veg stalls will be selling at a similar rate ..
The Barrow Boys stall outside the main entrance of the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton have been selling fantastic fruits for 18 months and they sell superb, white-fleshed chestnuts ( other nuts are available ) for only £1.50 a lb (453gr ) , so shop around and don't ALWAYS use supermarkets ;-)
Opening post
I know someone who would love these!
