I was quite excited about this but beware only for use up to 200c - I wanted it for bread so would be going hotter than than. Great if you want a caserole dish etc though.

Can't imagine it's suddenly going to shatter at above 200 degrees C.
Good price considering Le Creuset want £160 for something of a similar size.
What type of bread do you cook in a cast iron pan? Not disputing it, just interested.

Sourdough, but you can do any. If you google image search cast iron pan bread you will probably see why, it's probably the best way you can do artisan style bread at home.
I don't think it will shatter but assume it's the enamel coatings heat limit maybe, it might melt? Not sure though.
i have one (from local cook shop) which has a limit of 180 - thats down to the handle on the lid being plastic - they state as much in the instruction booklet
