These 5kg onions are always £1 at farmfoods. They also sell 5kg of dirty patatoes for £2.80 . As i always get mine from here . Soo voted cold

Great deal, not sure I fancy onion rings for dinner for 10 nights in a row though. Why can't they do 1kg for 20p or 2.5kg for 50p. This is why our country has so much food waste. Still giving it HEAT :smiley:

bulk buying and selling guarantees so much will be shifted which brings the buying price for the supermarket down. if these were sold individual no one would bother as its these small ones always left and get binned in the loose section. sorry for the rant just thought I'd answer the question

Savoury minced beef, cottage pie, stir fry, caramelised onion gravy or just caramelised onions as a side to say a jacket potato. So many options and the caramelised onions can be frozen so they will last longer.

I find every time I buy these big cheap bags of onions about a quarter of them are rotten and unusable. Still, 3.75kg onions for a £1 is obviously a great deal. They're just as good any other brown onion, just smaller. :smiley:
