I'm trying to order one. I have selected GBP and it is showing £8.19 but when I try to checkout with PayPal it changes to $12.45 converted to £8.39

Virtually no difference - this is not the Mi Band 2.
A few months back they reduced the size or the packaging and changed the coloured LED lights to white. According to the OP the battery size is marginally better too. Don't get me wrong though, it's still a fantastic product!

The gearbest band, which is 20p cheaper is the miband2. White LED's and slightly larger battery capacity.
