Thought this was a very good price and York is lovely around Christmas time. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre and overlooks the River Ouse.

Use one of the six Park & Ride bus stations (iTravelYork.info), don't try to enter the city by car, especially at the moment because the whole city is being dug up to install gigabit fibre! :stuck_out_tongue:

At a riverside hotel called The Queens Hotel, not the Riverside Hotel (which is directly across the river).

It's a pretty decent hotel, relatively new. Better than the B&B's you'd get at that price, but not having weekends will limit this deals attractiveness
