Various destinations bookable over on Skyscanner from Dublin to various USA destinations sub £200. Fly cheaply to Dublin and you have yourself a very cheap USA break. Various dates working nxt year, you'll have to have a play around with dates, month view can give you some initial availability then you can book with different OTA's.
Ideal for those that can fly for around £30 return to Dublin (e.g. from Liverpool or Manchester with luggage) without having to go to London!
Some of the flights that go via New York involve you changing airports, but this shouldn't be too much of a problem. You could even book a one way flight for under £100 and exit at New York!

does that mean they should honour it? because i'm tempted to just cancel since I cannot pay the new price anyway. but i'm upset that it's very misleading and the "price check" happened in the very end

give it a miss guys. I tried booking via e-travel ireland, they took the payment but said
"We have confirmed your seats but there is a problem storing the fare as the price changed from €216.97 to €664.31.
Please contact us on 01-4081900 to either make an additional payment or cancel the booking."
This is so messed up. Why would they deduct the money if the price jumped (at the very payment stage). They could just say the price jump so and not take partial payment. Avoid avoid avoid

I thought that once they took the money the "Invitation to Treat" has happened and that you have a contract with them I am not 100% sure and it may be different in Ireland or on distant selling.

Flights to the USA are usually a lot cheaper through Dublin, no APD and a lot less tax, chuck in a Ryanair/Aer Lingus flight for £30 from your nearest airport and you have a really cheap trip to the USA from your local airport - win win  We got our Vegas flights in April from Dublin for £320 return, compared to £900 for the same week from London/Manchester, and we can fly from East Midlands

I've just spoke with a nice lady in Dublin from e-travel after my booking taken but at a revised price of €605. She advised that all of these flights have been loaded incorrectly by the airline and will not be honoured

I am trying to find return flights from the UK/Ireland to calagary late January early February for 2 adults, cheapest I am finding is £377 per person. does that sound like a good deal?

I'm guessing these are just a mis-price by e-travel Ireland. No other ticket provider comes close.
Has anyone booked, paid, and actually got their tickets confirmed?

Just got back from USA, blaming the bloody Oslo-Heathrow-NY deal, 260 pounds for the tickets, but 2600 pounds more on the expense!
I hate USA, hate hotukdeals even more!!!!!!

Not as much as I expected. sooooooooo many homeless people, 4/5 on subway looked like some unfriendly junkie.
Very scary!
Dining out is extremely expensive, after adding 9% tax and 20% tips!

Has anyone had any luck booking for 2+ people with this deal, skyscanner seems to knock them off the list for all flights and I've tried manually to no avail. Only alternative is to book two separate bookings.

Sorry, don't know re refundable one way tickets, perhaps look which airlines have flexible fares that may allow you to change. Look at Alaska Airlines for flights that go to Calgary. We skied in Banff - Sunshine Village which was pretty good (although my skiing was not)!

Huh? You said about £140 to Calgary. I've no interest in Alaska, I'm going over for a ski season.
On another note, anyone know any airlines that do fully refundable one way tickets? I've absolutely no idea when I'll be coming back but can't get out there without an outbound ticket

Just book Seattle, then use Skyscanner to find flights from Seattle to Alaska, from £65ish one way (to Anchorage), £85 one way ish to Juneau or £100 one way to Ketchikan. Fly into one Alaska airport and out of another, road trip.... Emerald Lake, Skagway, Chilkoot Trail . . .

The flights I was looking at were Dublin to Florida at £220 with flights to gatwick for transatlantic trip via air linges. Same airline from gatwick direct is £444. Could I book this but just not use the Dublin flights. I.e get on and depart from gatwick

Nope, most certainly not. You cannot get on at LGW, you have to board at Dublin, on the return journey, you MAY be able to get off at LGW (made easier if you only have hand luggage), but if you have hold luggage, you may have problems. Firstly, if your have a long stop, or can manually add in a stop over of say more than 8 hours (24 hours minimum better), you will get your luggage back and you could exit, but if you only have a few hours you won't get your luggage and you have a problem. On the Vegas post there was some useful information about exiting a flight and 'ditching' the last leg, but for these ones I wouldn't recommend it.

Good spot. The seattle one could be promising. I'm getting to find something for Canada, but could always had up the coast from there

From £140 return to Calgary, makes a nice twin centre trip (or I'd head to Alaska) - that would be a damn good price for Alaska....

Yeah, some have longer ones than others, I was just trying to get screen shots up... I haven't had time to proper fiddle around with the dates yet.....
