Cheapest I have seen this groupset, admittedly only 172.5 cranks and 11-28 cassette but that's what I would go for anyway so all good for me!
£30 gets taken off at the checkout.
Disclaimer:
1 - yes, you could buy a terrible terrible car for this.
2 - yes, you could buy a whole bike for this, but if you are happy with a sub £400 (nothing wrong with it if you are) then this deal isn't for you.
3 - No, it doesn't come with pedals.
4 - £400 for not even a whole bike, am I mad, probably, but not because of this deal!

Surely it is up to people how they choose to spend their money.
I have ultegra 10sp, 11sp Di2 and Dura ace Di2. Why? Because I can and it makes me feel good.
BTW funny how no one bats an eyelid when someone puts up a deal for a £600 phone, but as soon as it's a deal for bikes or bike parts above £50 the trolls and haters come out to play.

So how long are these parts meant to last? I'm curious having enjoyed the switch this summer from a rubbish Halfords hybrid to a triban 3, and could understand paying higher prices if these parts are an investment in longevity but the not in winter comments don't suggest that's the case.

The parts will all wear out at different rates. Brake pads will go first, maybe 1.5-2k miles. Then chain and cassette will go, 3k miles if you're lucky. Brake calipers will get 5k+ if you clean them properly. Chainset might get 10k+ but that depends how well you look after the chain and cassette. Bottom bracket is pot luck some times. Factor in at least one cable change a year, especially if you ride over winter. Finally, the shifters should last ages, I got about 11k miles from a 6700 set and probably sped up the demise by leaving bad cables too long.

Brake pads are around £10
Cassette and chain around £40
Outer chainring £30
Bottom Bracket £20.
As long as they're all changed every few thousand miles there is no reason why it should n't last a lifetime. I've done around 9000 miles this year on an ultegra groupset and only had to change the chain and cassette a couple of times. The pads look good. No creaking from the BB and I rode right through winter.

Just to bring out the trolls and haters one of my chainsets alone was close to £360 (Raceface Next SL's for those that want/need to know) Don't ask how much the rest of the bike cost .

To be honest you're doing something that keeps you fit and makes you happy. On that basis no matter how much you spend on bikes and/or parts it's value for money.
Ignore the negative people. They're just couch potatoes who sit watching Strictly Come Dancing in their underpants whilst crunching on pork scratchings.

Great price! I've just put this on a kinesis Gran Fondi Ti frame as an all year round bike. Rides great and the gear change is fantastic.

I did buy a sub 400 pound bicycle, and it is still going strong 20 years later. I know that this stuff is probably better, but would it last 20 years? I doubt it.

Unless you are a competitor where tiny improvements could make the difference between winning and loosing, why would you pay so much for parts for a bike. There has to come a point where it just gets silly. Clearly maybe spending £50 on a good quality part over a £10 might be a good investment if you are a keen cyclist but another £350, is that really going to improve your cycling experience that much. You are getting to the point of diminishing returns.

In the chainset you will receive the crank, front and rear mechs, front and rear STi's, cassette, BB, chain, front and rear brakes. Very high quality components. The STi's alone sell for £150'ish.
Cables too

Your maths doesn't make sense. Your suggesting you could buy an entire groupset for £10? You'd struggle to buy the brake and gear cables for that price, let alone any of the other individual components in this set.

This is not a part, this is lots of parts.
By the same logic we'd all be watch 20" 720p TVs and using £50 android tablets. Somethings are worth spending money on, some are not, it depends how much use and enjoyment they'll bring. I cycle a lot, I spend a lot on bikes and parts, I don't watch much TV and so have a very cheap TV most people would hate but it is fine for my needs.

To be fair I bought an 80,000 mile Mazda for £250 maybe a decade ago and it ran for 2 years and it passed the MOT easily with minimal maintenance :stuck_out_tongue: It wasn't terrible at all. Then I sold it for £400 and it was kept on the road another 3 years :stuck_out_tongue:
