why does everyone country in the UK have different name for these England (teacake) northern Ireland (baps) Scotland (rolls). to be fair rolls is more appropriate.

Rolls and baps aren't teacakes.
Teacakes are sweet and have small pieces of fruit.

yeah again in Scotland they call them fruit rolls and Belfast calls them fruit baps

you must be from the border because teacakes in Scotland are tunnuck teacakes and are a ball off cream covered in chocolate wrapped in tinfoil
