You don't really digest much of it, most of it passes through. The bit you do absorb is mostly removed by your kidneys and a small amount is metabolised.
Seriously people eat real sugar or don't eat sugar simple. Why would you eat something that is artificially made to be sugar?
Did you know, coolant liquid for cars is sweet in taste, but could kill you if consumed? Please people, protect your health.
Either eat real sugar or don't eat all. Same goes for diet drinks.
I'm expecting criticism.

Why would you use anything artificial such as medicines or vaccines? Just because something is artificial isn't a reason to dismiss something, neither is something being natural a reason to assume it's safe and beneficial.
Comparing sweeteners to car coolant to add your reasoning doesn't make sense particularly as you can get natural sweeteners such as stevia.

Until I'm shown categorical proof that is harming is I'll carry on using sweetener.
Even the government has commercials advising replacing sugary drinks with sugar free.
The point is sweetener is the jaded l lesser of the two evils.
Tanweer, I'm not sugar bashing but need to see claims backed up evidence.

The safety of sucralose is well established so I wouldn't be too worried. Chances are you read something from a dodgy website. http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/splenda.asp
