I assume this phone isnt selling. As a Z3 owner, it is physically a step backwards from the Z3. The Z5 feels more plastic and cheap despite being made of metal and glass.

Personally think it feels and looks much better than the Z3, Battery life isn't as good but stamina mode keeps it lasting full days still so not the end of the world, the power button is much better (and the fact you can use fingerprint to unlock it is brilliant...albeit a bit scary if you're a conspiracy theorist lol)
Only thing i'd change about it is the volume switch should be above the power button instead of below...Wireless charging would also be nice.
This is a good price, I got mine at £519 last week, it then dropped to 495 but amazon refunded me the difference...wish i'd waited a few more days now lol

Is the Z3 a better phone, in a dilemma now as was just about to buy the Z5 as I thought it was a step up? Any info would be appreciated, TIA.

It is a much better phone in every way - the Z3 is also an excellent phone and not very old which is why it isn't a straight forward upgrade.
If you have anything last gen its a better phone, if you have something 2 years or more its a great phone.
I have a Z5 and the missus the compact and they are by far the best phones we've ever used.

The Z5 has the best camera on any smartphone currently available. The Z3 has quite possibly the best audio output on any phone currently due to its dual DACs.

yeah, it's not a bad phone. If battery life is a big deciding factor then go for it.

Of course the Z5 is much better but don't be put off by the negative comments try one for yourself.
The only thing is that atm its just not the massive leap forward many have come to expect after seeing iPhone and Samsung upping their game so the price tag cannot be justified but it's still a great phone with 4k amongst other features such as battery life.

Have heard battery life on Z5 is not as good as Z3 either, though the Z5 Compact is supposed to be good.
I am on the look out for the z3 compact cheap I think it looks better than Z5 Compact.

I utterly love my Z3 Compact. Great screen, perfect one-handed size, fast and reliable performance, great battery life. I'd love to have been tempted to upgrade to the Z5 Compact, but there's almost no difference where it counts, but a sh*tload of extra cash. Buy one, feel smug at the saving, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

i have a z3 compact in orange red its like new i hardly used it found it to small.bought it for 240 on o2 deal pay and go and got o2 to unlock it.got the proper sony charge adapter to paid twenty off amazon.gana put it on ebay soon i think.i only bought it as a strava device with it been waterproof
