this 'everyday' rice is also sold in larger bags in Costco - alongside more expensive basmati rice. What variety is this 'everyday' rice… as far as I can tell it is in fact basmati simply stripped of it's variety for marketing reasons (ie so not to obviously undercut other 'premium' varieties)

I've tried this, it was not nice. ut took double the time to cook, was not like more expensive basmati rice....I would never buy this again, not even at this price.
