our local Wilkinson store in Cheltenham has loads of ronseal varnish all at 50p. lots of different colours and finishes. bargain!

It's for varnishing wood. Gives it the shiny effect like gloss paint, but you're still able to see the natural wood grain and also gives the wood a slight level of protection.

that's cheap too. I use a lot of this varnish for my shabby chic furniture. and at 50p can't go wrong.
