Ah thanks that could be why. According to barbados.org though: Tropical rainstorms sometimes occur in the hurricane season which runs from June to October (as we say in Barbados - "June too soon, October all over!").

I know you said 23-29 but any chance you could go 22-29? £299 from Glasgow or £349 from Manchester with Thomas Cook Airlines. Or there is 24-29 from Manchester £349.

Hurricane season finishes October. I lived in Dominican Republic and weather was always fine in November.

You could check out ownersdirect.co.uk there are some 2 bed apartments available in gated communities with facilities (pools / tennis courts etc) that sleep 4-5 people: £700 for these dates.
