The white one is more expensive, I know because I was after a white one and Gamestop were the cheapest.

Mine arrived today and the serial number starts with 3 so it is the 3rd generation I guess. I know that the ones that started with 2 were second generation with the matt finish.

Question: Why are people always buying PS4 controllers? Is it because they don't last for too long?
I've yet to purchase my PS4 (already made my PS4 games' wishlist) so I don't know about the quality of these controllers but never had a single problem with my PS3 controllers.

For me, they only come with one when I buy the ps4, that's why I need one more to play with friends

I just got one of these today from this vendor and the serial number begins with a 1 so I take it it's a first generation. wouldn't have bought it if I'd known that.
