Rapid Air technology
Cook your food using just a fraction of the oil that conventional frying requires with Viva Airfryer's unique Rapid Air technology that also lets you fry, bake, roast and grill.
Thanks to the unique design of the Philips Airfryer with Rapid Air technology, the cooking process is virtually odourless compared to traditional fryers and its smooth interior makes it easy to clean, safe and economical enough for daily use.
Spacious cooking
The Viva Airfryer can accommodate up to 0.8 kg of ingredients, more than enough for everyday portions.
The Airfryer gives you the same great results as deep fat fryers, sealing the outside of your ingredients and cooking the inside. However, it achieves this with hardly any oil, leaving you with healthier but just as delicious results.
As well as frying, the versatile Airfryer can also adapt to grill, roast and bake, subtly adapting the cooking method to give you varied results.
For added inspiration, the Airfryer also comes with a recipe book that lets you get most out of your new fryer.
Digital time and temp control
Cook around your schedule courtesy of the Airfryer's integrated timer that allows you to pre-set cooking times of up to 60 minutes. Once the timer has finished, the Airfryer turns itself off to prevent overcooking, and lets you know with a handy alert so you don't need to wait around.
A fully adjustable temperature control gives you complete control over the temperature so you can pre-set the right heat for your food, all the way up to 200 degrees for crisp fries and wedges as well as meat, snacks and more.
Make the most of the space
Utilise all the available space with the included double layer accessory that gives you more space to create meals.
Layer up ingredients for a more efficient way to cook, giving you more room to prepare healthy and delicious food with the versatile Philips HD9230/20 Viva Airfryer in black.

Ok price for the digital model but I don't think it really adds much over the simple dial one.

Doesn't the Curry's one have a digital display. Plus contains a tired rack that you can double the amount of stuff you can put in.
I saw a comparison from America comparing difference and said the rack was 30 dollars, not sure what it is over here.
I'm torn if to get the Curry's one at £75 or this for £45.01 through Flubit, so a £29.99 difference.
My worries/questions are;
Are these hard to clean and maintain?
Would the portions in these for 2 adults be really small?
What oil would I use?
Would this be just another kitchen gadget that would be more hassle than its worth?
Having healthier chips does sound good but apart from slicing own chips.
I wonder how it compares to just the oven for my normal use. Eg. Bhaji, oven chips and chicken??
