Smyths Toys have reduced the price of three different console bundles for the OLDER model of the Nintendo 3DS XL. There are three bundles on offer for this price, each having a single pre-installed game on a 4GB SD card. On offer is:
Silver Console + Luigi's Mansion 2
Red Console + New Super Mario Bros 2
Pink Console + Tomodachi Life
Great value considering it's the larger version with a game included. Whilst it may not be the NEW model, it's still a fun system at a discounted price. According to Smyths, you can purchase these online and in-store.

Good price, I already have one. But I think Nintendo are cheeky for not supplying the power adapter with the product. I know that it's to make the package more affordable and anyone with a DS has a power adapter but every other product you buy comes with one. All Android phones (to my knowledge) come with adapters despite most people owning half a dozen. And pre-loading the game instead of giving you the physical game is also sneaky, means there aren't an influx of used bundle games being traded in driving down the retail price of their units. Good business practice but ultimately bad for the consumer.

Yeah, it's not a very consumer-friendly move. I know Nintendo fans will jump to their defense but it really doesn't buy them much consumer love. I can imagine the majority of parents buying this for their kids for Christmas only to find out they have to wait until the shops re-open so they can buy an adapter. Have Nintendo given up on the "New" 3DS? As far as I know only one game takes advantage of the better hardware, which isn't surprising as it developers would rather make a game for everyone with a 3DS rather than the handful of people who opted for the "New" 3DS.

Yeah great game from that period, I bought it from Cex a few weeks ago - really enjoyed playing it again! Such marvelous sounds effects and music throughout.

It's crap they don't come with power adapters. Makes it harder for us to sell it on. Luckily I had a power adapter before.

It's so, they don't have make, special package, for each country.
Buy a 3ds to USB converter cable from ebay, for about £1.40, then you can charge them on a usb socket, like your phone

My eldest daughter has a 3DS and I want to get the 3DS XL for my youngest. Can I use the same adapter or do I need to buy a new one?

As I said it makes good business sense. They could still ship the adapters for that given Country seperately and still bundle them together. It's really not so much a cost thing as a convenience thing.
