Built around five real world automotive icons, each of whom is a hero of today’s car culture, they will inspire the player to experience all Five Ways to Play. Earn their respect and build your reputation on your journey to become the ultimate icon.
Action-packed overlapping stories, rich with distraction based gameplay, ensure variety and personal preference. Carve your own path through Ventura Bay by playing different event types and propel your progression by ultimately winning your way.

I would play it, but unfortunately the online only thing really turns me away.

Agreed, yet another title I won't be buying due to this.

There's hope EA will patch the game to be playable offline. I hope. :disappointed:

Got mine for £10.20 or 20p if you include the m&s voucher I got with it from bespoke offers (RIP). Great game worth every penny.

Hold out yet, firstly price will continue to plummet and secondly the game is incomplete and overtime updates will be released to make the game a little more complete. One good thing is no micro transactions and no paid dlc. All dlc will be free. Shocking.
Also shocking is a garage which allows you to save and buy 5 cars only!!

To be fair if I still had my consoles. I would totally buy this game because of what you said about the DLC and lack of micro transactions just to show my support.

Good price but played it on the early ea access thing and didn't really enjoy the online only thing either myself, bring back underground 2 or undercover or something

Absolutely terrible game! Played the trial from ea access for 3 hours.. Just awful (cringeworthy) character acting in the cut scenes and its just stupidly repetitive! People wonder why there are kids/idiots with modified cars racing on the streets in real life (which has become a major issue where I live recently). The game tries to make it "cool". Anyway.. Bad game!

Fair enough you've got your opinions about the game, but when you use the game as a scapegoat for real life scenarios you just sound like a fool

The game has much improved since the latest update. Fixed logs of issues and added more stuff. I still don't own it yet but hoping it's under the Xmas tree this year....

Do the servers still cause input lag on occassins? i really wish ea would stop this nonsense of having nfs continuously online.
My price point for this game is £15-20 so probably pick it up in the NY or 2nd hand somewhere once the price drops beliw 30.

I managed to platinum this game within 4 days, would have been 2 but one trophy requires daily challenges to be met.
and on my honest opinion it is a half game, had I paid full price I would have been absolutely devastated, the online never bothered me, neither did the bad acting, but the game itself, actual driving, is terrible. I know it's supposed to be an arcade driver but the ai is so annoying. you could drive perfect all the race then one tiny mistake at last corner and all the other cars that were miles behind you suddenly appear.
as a comparison, the last race I was consistently gettin 9min Mark and coming 2nd and 3rd. then on a truly bad race I got 12min and came first? no logic.
also the nodding, which is what his game is supposed to be about, once you get to the good cars it all dissapears, you can fit a wide body kit and that's about it, can't even change the wheels.
here's hoping next nfs is a hell of a lot better cos the ps4 is really lacking in a good driving game right now

Far from it. I just don't blame games for society's problems.
