If you have a SAYERS bakery shop near you then you will know how good their mince pies are, Greggs are fairly decent as well.

Once again people mistake a good price for a major brand as a popularity contest to select the best product. If you don't like them , don't buy them. They aren't my favorite mince pies either but 87p is a hot price for these.
It's pretty pointless posting about other mince pies unless they are as cheap or cheaper, in which case it may give others a useful comparison. I'm sure most of us have tried these and can make up our own minds if we want to taste them again without others giving their opinions with a virtual taste test.

Personally I like the pastry with smattering of mincemeat than a thin stodgy pastry case with a big dollop of mincemeat. Each to their own.

No way, are you talking bout the in store bakery ones as the pastry on them is thin and crisp, which is how I like it. Been buying them for the past three weeks now . Not even a full pastry top on them just a star shape
Slightly more, admittedly - but a much nicer, all butter, product.

It's all a matter of personal taste but I think Mr Kipling's mince pies are one of the tastiest you can buy and 87p for 6 is a very good price. Heat from me.
