Master Lock 1m x 18mm armoured steel, weather-resistant security cable with disc cylinder lock for extra protection against picking. Vinyl-coated to prevent scratching and rust. Includes 4 keys. 0.66Kg
This has armoured sections covering the inner cable and the sections appear to overlap each other so the cable cannot be easily cut between the sections.
At £3.99, this would be OK to use as a secondary deterrent, in conjunction with a good D-Lock. I purchased it to replace a combination lock with a spiral cable that I always had to struggle to use.

I would love to see a video of you doing this. If you order one and open it with only pliers within three minutes while recording the whole thing I'll give you £20.

Took me three minutes to open one of these with a pair of pliers,
D locks can be opened just as quick with a car jack.
But great deterrent for the price, so voted hot.

All locks are just a deterrent.
If you place the D lock so there isn't room to get a car Jack in the space there much harder to break.

cold for me. may as well tie up whatever it is you are trying to secure with ribbon as any determined thief will be through this like a hot knife through butter.

Rubbish... Excellent price for a decent lock.
Wouldn't trust it with a top of the range bike for long but ideal for me when I need to ride to the local shop on my half decent road bike.

After seeing it, I would have thought it was a bit more robust than ribbon. A determined thief, with the right tools, will get through most types of bike locks pretty quickly, but this is £3.99, which is a bargain, even if it is only as a secondary deterrent. These are about £17 at Homebase, and £26 on Amazon.

how is this cold, find it cheaper out going by your thinking, find a lock that a'determined thief' wouldn't get off. You can't as there is no such lock ya douche!
This is a good deterrent, not the best but it is only £4,to the opportunist thief of which the majority are.
Good for locking up low value items like bins to avoid any inconvenience due to fortnightly collections.
True story. Caught a local known scumbag in the act couple of weeks ago trying to steal our bin while passing by. Lazy fecker couldn't be bothered to carry his own bags/bin could he. His excuse, claims he was only borrowing it. I said, without our permission. He claims, he knocked our door but no answer so decided it was his own best interest to take it. I said, just because there was no answer does not mean, you can take it without our permission, it's considered theft. Clearly trying to shrug off his guilt & blame he wanted to borrow it & it will be returned. Yeah right! Told him to remove his stolen haul inside our bin & **** off before I called the Police. Likewise, with this anchored, never saw the scumbag again.

These are really difficult to use as this woman proves.
Some people seem to be posting links to YouTube videos, or making comments that are in no way related to the actual cable listed here, this one has armoured sections around the inner cable which hopefully should delay any attempt to cut it, and looking at the one in my hand at the moment, this does not seem like it could be cut with pliers. If anyone has managed to cut this actual cable with pliers, I would be very interested to know how, you can send me a personal message with details if you like.

Thanks got 2, good value for £3.99. I wouldn't lock my bike with one of theses alone but like you clearly state as a secondary lock used with a D-Lock they do a great job.
