Haven't you just proved that the M&S dine in deal is actually good?? Your Aldi £12 version vs. M&S's at £10??
In M&S you can get 1.6kg chickens or even bigger if you're lucky. The M&S wine is no better or worse compared to Aldi's in my opinion. You cannot get the millionaires shortbread dessert in Aldi - that M&S dessert is worth it's weight in gold and is more addictive than crack cocaine.
You also get treated like a human being in M&S and can have a civilised chat with the checkout assistant, rather than in Aldi where you're ordered to put your trolley next to the checkout assistant whilst they throw your 69p fruit and veg in the trolley so that it's nice and bruised before you get the products in the car...

I'm not sure about this offer anymore. The portions seem to of gotten progressively smaller or stretched and whenever I go to pick it up there are really just the filler options left that no one is as keen on. Maybe it's just the M and S near me, I don' t know.
But really, you can buy a decent lasagne, side and dessert for just slightly less than £10. So the offer appears to me to be more of a 'Buy these 3 items and we will give you £2-3 off a bottle of wine.

In case this helps anyone - when this deal was on a couple of weeks ago, I was disappointed with the range of mains offered by my (fairly small) local M & S - it was displaying perhaps only 2 or 3 of those listed in the HUKD post . However, when I looked around the store I noticed that they had a meal in a different section which I remembered being on the list but it didn't have the special offer 'Main' sticker on it. Nevertheless, I picked up the 3 other components of the deal and took the lot to checkout and it all went through as per the offer. So worth checking elsewhere in the store if the range seems to be limited on the display.

Agree, you can get a 1.5KG Free Range Chicken for a fiver for Aldi, and a decent Bottle of Wine for £4-5, add in some 59p Potatoes, a Broccoli Stem, and a couple of luxury yogurts for desserts, or similar you're at £12 at most, with a wine that is at least drinkable, compared to the M&S included ones.

"Seem to of, seriously?? You wouldn't say "the portions of gotten smaller", so why say "the portions seem to of gotten smaller". Just because "of" and "have" sound vaguely similar doesn't make them interchangeable. Cue someone calling me a "looser" for pointing this out.

is this £9 with the sparkle card or whatever it is called? I have 10% off food with the card so assume it works with the meal deal.
