Been looking at Windows tablets for a while and decided I just wanted something small and light for productivity on the go.
There is currently £30 off selected Windows tablets using code WINTAB30 at Currys/PC World, available in-store and online with free delivery! (Ends Monday)
That makes these 8" tablets just £69.99, 32gb which is expandable and a reasonable amount of storage, and Windows 10 is now pre-installed so no lengthy upgrade process to endure. Both feature Quad-core Intel Atom processors, front and rear facing cameras and plenty of connectivity options. Acer Iconia is white and features larger expandable memory (up to 128gb) as well as a slightly longer battery life but the Linx comes in black and has a micro-HDMI port as well as a micro-USB to USB adapter. I've used both and have to say at 188 PPI they're pretty smart and impressive for the size and price, very responsive. Great gift ideas.
The Linx 1010 with Windows 10 is also available for £129.99 and when you purchase from Currys/PC World you can also claim a free keyboard!
Hope this helps somebody.

Considering the original Linx 10 at £129-99 has got to 255 degrees, this should be hot.

The other deal is also for the Linx 1010. Deal headline just reads like it's the older version (Linx 10")

Wrong - the 1010 is £179-99 on Ebuyer. The Curry's spec is for the old version so it is misleading.

Might have gone for this if it was Win 7 but you can keep 10!

win7 is fine but it doesn't fit the touch screen era so would be pointless

well they did but they didn't sell, if anyone is stuck on sticking in the ice age and staying on win 7 or below a none touchscreen laptop is the only option really, nothing wrong with windows 10 at all if you ask me works great and much faster than 7 or 8

Honestly you're best off ignoring Bay Trail now that Cherry Trail is out. 14nm vs 22nm, faster CPU, much, much faster graphics, much lower power consumption. Even at this price.

Not wrong - This is the deal I was referring to. Posted just about 10 minutes before this one and was around 255 degrees at time of comment.
Helps others if you link to the deal you're commenting on.

Just a FYI for anyone having trouble upgrading to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586 (copied from the linxtablets forum):
I assume this would affect all Linx users, likely all Windows tablets that have an SD card inserted?
