Just be cautious, years ago -before they were called Sharon fruit- they were delicious, but,big BUT, the skin was inedible, can only call it highly tannic. Probably bred out of it now.

yes the whole thing just remove the green stalk like you get on a tomato or strawberry, if there is dark patches or spotty bits inside thats normal.

Sharon fruit is a brand name for a persimmon, in other countries mainly South America it is known as Kaki
