Lenovo 3000 n100 or 3000 n200 are laptops.

My old laptop is a Lenovo N300 I think and it hasn't been great - battery went on it (a known fault apparently) and it slowed right down for no apparent reason! Build quality was ok though other than that and I quite like the keyboard on it.
I purchased a £1,000 SONY one a few years ago and just about everything that could fail on it, did!

1. I do not quite understand your first question. And even I understand it, I probably cannot answer it.
I am using XPS 13, it is expensive, it is not value for money. I just like it. Sometimes the best deal may not be what you want and what you can afford. But if it is a good deal, any well-informed persons should be able to tell irrespective of whether he is going to buy or not.
2. For any computers I use, I would upgrade to 8GB RAM. I would not ask the seller/manufacturer to upgrade. I will buy a 4GB RAM from amazon for around £15 and upgrade myself.
3. For me, DVI, HDMI, DP, mini DP, I do not mind as long as there is at least one of them. The more the better. And HDMI and DP has audio as well as video. All of them work at FHD at least, all of them carry digital signals. Most conversion cable/kit works really well between them. It is just about spend few pounds get the cable with the correct adapter at both ends. L450 has a mini DP.
I would warn people do not use VGA unless you are using something only has a VGA output. It is only your last resort. And VGA carries analog signals. There are conversion cable/kit to convert to digital signals, but they never work quite well.
Some people may not even know what VGA is. In simple term, do not use the blue cable to link monitor, TV, project. Bad bad quality.

Not quite understand your concern.
From the picture I can tell that it has a track pad and two seperate buttoms for left and right clicks below the trackpad.
If I guess your point correctly, it has split trackpad.

Lower specs and lower model compare to L450.
I still think L450 is better.
If go for E550, why not just buy the E50 in this deal. The increase from i3 to i5 only worth £30 even per Lenovo.

I completely agree.
I like Thinkpad too. I think thinkpad is a good premium series for many years from IBM to now Lenovo.
But the cheapest thinkpad with similar specs I have seen are around £450.
I think E50 is better quality than budget consumer laptops, but not as good as Premium business models, such as, thinkpad, HP elitebook. You do need to pay extra for those premium business models.
However, E50's price is in the same range of budget consumer laptops if not less, which make its the price very hot.

I do not think the keyboard is worse than any £300 laptops. If you go for the budget models, I would presume the keyboards are worse than this one.
I have a XPS 13 which I quite like the keyboard, I think it is as good as my Logitech keyboard. But the ultrabook has a price tag of £1k, 4 times of this.

What differences are there between the 128GB SSD and 500GB HDD versions apart from the storage? One of them lists wireless AC (802.11ac Wireless) and the other only mentions (802.11b/g/n Wireless). Is this correct does anyone know?

802.11ac is new generation, faster than 802.11n.
SSD version also mention finger printer reader, HDD does not mention.

Fair spec for the price and having an SSD in a low end system is a god send. Like has already been suggested I would swap out the DVD writer for a caddy+hard drive.
I'd do some research into Lenovo's current standing regarding spyware. I recall at least 3 stories in recent times of different pre-installed spyware including one which wasn't removable because it was in the BIOS. Before I would buy one I'd do some research if they're now clean or not.

Bought one of these from this company a fortnight ago for a friend who simply needed browsing, email and MS Office. Minor problem with the RAM upgrade (wrong spec. module), but Customer Service were brilliant - correct module out for next day delivery, and Collect+ label sent to return the other one. Would definitely recommend this company.
Impressed by build quality, upgraded easily to Win 10, and will do a clean install to get rid of software she doesn't need. SSD capacity pretty low, since she doesn't collect music, videos or photographs, the 128GB SSD will be ample.

If the good is refurbished, the seller normally put refurbished in the title.
That is why the price is hot. If it is refurbished, I would not post the deal as the price is normal for a refurb.

I have one of these and the keyboard is definitely not business quality. Everything else is okay though. Be warned and prepared for much frustration when using the keyboard.

For those who do not want a lot of storage space or are happy to use an external hard drive for big storage, I would say this is a very good deal with a sturdy looking machine with decent spec for the money. The 3 year warranty for £49 may be worth considering too, as for £308.97 you know you're getting a machine that will last you three years.

However, if you do not need the DVD drive, you could buy a caddy for £6 and add a 2nd drive there.
