Matches the very low Amazon currently out of stock price.

~90 left when I ordered a few mins ago.

This is the lowest price I have seen available since I started looking for one a few weeks ago.

Spoken to Ebuyer, they gave me some cock-and-bull story about they had placed the order for the CPU, but the supplier had cancelled so they cancelled it from my order and refunded me for the CPU. Apparently they're getting 50 in today and I could re-order from there, but I'd be charged 349.99 for the privilege, they wouldn't honour the lower price despite them having already charged me.

I've told them to arrange a courier and to collect all of the parts I have bought from them as part of this purchase and to provide me a full refund, and would encourage everyone else in my position to do the same - this kind of shoddy customer service should definitely not be encouraged. How can they arbitrarily cancel an order when they have already taken payment? Does this mean in the future I can order stuff and then when it arrives cancel payment?

I'm through with Ebuyer - they suck. Avoid like the plague - if the abysmal courier they use (Yodel) isn't enough to dissuade you, do you really want to entrust potentially thousands of pounds to a company this dishonest that tries to scam their customers?

So today is the day; someone earlier in the thread said 6-8th Dec will be restock; anyone hear anything yet?

I'm thinking of just grabbing an i5 if this doesn't ship soon, since the prices went down recently. Might not need the extra threads anyway, but was happy about my shiny new chip.

I spent Total: £273.99 on 14/11/2015. It dropped to that price as soon as they ran out of stock.

I then ordered one from Ebuyer for the same price in case they didn't fulfil the order.

Ebuyer lied saying they weren't going to restock and would have to cancel my order.

I told them where to go and they kept the order open. In the end I cancelled with Ebuyer as Amazon gave me a delivery date.
My CPU just turned up today! Got there in the end!

I cancelled my one for Ebuyer as I am having the Amazon one delivered Saturday. After speaking with that customer support woman making up that they aren't restocking I didn't think it was worth the risk having to deal with them any further.

I hope you guys get your CPUs!

I rang them today, they didnt say anything, said they would get back to me, thats twice now that they haven't..
I think I might just send back the motherboard and ram I also got from them back as I reckon once more stock comes the price would have come down anyway making it not such of a good deal after all.

Still haven't gotten mine from ebuyer, but I'm happy they didn't cancel/refund my order like they asked to.

I heard Dec 3rd somewhere, so hoping for something soon. Either way, got a great deal on a z170 gaming pro (93 GBP), but "arriving by the 18th of December" so I need to wait anyway. -- Maybe GPU prices will fall a bit in the meantime, last component I need.

Not sure how you would "lose" out tbh, unless for the Ebuyer item that came with free P&P, you want me to pay for the shipping for the Aria item, then on top pay for shipping to me?

If thats the logic, then dont worry about it mate, I will let someone else stake a claim, or you can cancel it

Collected (Leeds) unless you have other ideas, I don't want to lose out on this with Paypal fees and postage etc! The order status has switched from Processing back to Placed as they've changed it from a normal order to a pre-order; they've just sent me a note saying "Please be assured that once the item is available your order will be fulfilled as a priority. In the meantime please continue to check our website for updates." When I spoke to them on the phone they said the start of December but just before it became 'discontinued' it stated there was stock incoming on 27th Nov.

I ordered mine from Amazon £273.99 November 14/11/2015 then from Ebuyer 15/11/2015. As soon as I spotted the deal on Amazon (it dropped in price once it went out of stock) I cancelled my order for a 6700 at £209.

Now I've got a Asus Maximus Hero just sitting there alongside a GSkill 8GB Ripjaws V waiting for the processor. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait in the end.

Good luck Maxwell689, hope it shows up.

Maverick - I got a phone call yesterday, which I missed as I was at work, and then a couple of hours later got an email saying my order had been cancelled due to the £273.99 actually being a pricing error, but that I could pay the higher price of £283 excluding VAT if I still wanted to buy it. Obviously I didn't take them up on their offer! I then got an email 1 hr 30 after that saying it had left their warehouse (maybe it was too late in the delivery process for them to stop the ball rolling!?). According to my tracking number it's now at the Yodel depot, so I am keeping my fingers crossed! Hopefully the same happens to you too  I did order mine quite a while before you so maybe they did run out of stock in the meantime though...

Still waiting, still processing

I had a similar problem with dabs when I order a gtx980 for a seriously low price, they kept fobbing me off and cancelled it without saying anything to me.

I called Ebuyer a while ago about my 6700k to find out if it would be delivered today. The same woman tried saying that rubbish to me also! I said it's a new processor that's a lie I'll wait for it to restock! She said we are not going to restock. I said that's **** and hung up on her!

I ordered from Amazon and Ebuyer at this price just in case this happened! Amazon will have stock on the 26th Nov, I spoke to them specifically about this mentioning Ebuyers price to ensure they honoured fulfilling the deal! I'm just going to hold out for whoever delivers it first then either cancel one of the orders or resell on ebay if they both come at once.

Since the call it says Your current order status » Order Placed -> Awaiting Dispatch

I ordered mine on Saturday 14 Nov at 11pm, ebuyer just called and told me they need to cancel my order as it's out of stock. I told them no, I could have ordered from Amazon or Aria, but chose them.

It wasn't a pre-order when I placed it... But I told them to keep it as one and send it to me when they get more. They told me they can't do that and that it'd be 3 weeks. I told them that's fine. Then they said, no sorry, we won't even get the item anymore... I told them that's rubbish, this is a new processor line, of course they will. She kept saying no and I asked to be transferred.

Unfortunately, I'm on a business trip, so can't stay on hold for 30min while roaming...

I checked the site, the order is still there in processing. Anything I can do? I don't care when I get it, but I don't want them to cancel it... I could have gotten it for a similar price from amazon/Aria and am in no mood to pay 390gbp for one.

Ended up canceling the order an snagging a super special on aria, never used em before so i take a punt end up paying £14 more but eh worth it considering i have other parts arriving from other companies.

For those people looking at the aria page and feeling a bit :disappointed: aria does something a little unusual with some of its super specials its stock level is different to the actual item on offer, because the item is usually available else where on site so even though it says 0 stock on the offer later on they might add 1 or 2 more I've been watching it for the past couple of days and seen the stock level hit zero on that offer more than once so keep an eye on it you never know.

My order acknowledgment suggests I ordered about 2 minutes before you; I used PayPal and free shipping - and it changed to 'processing' on Monday. However the guy I just spoke to says that actually no stock appears to have been allocated to me despite that change. I wonder why yours never changed?

Edit: this is really bloody annoying. They're now saying 'in stock' at the stupid high price; presumably they just have no interest in fulfilling the cheaper orders?

18 Nov 15 1 #95
Not impressed. Just spoke to them - despite it being 'in stock' when I ordered (just before I found this thread so fairly early on I think), and a delivery arriving today, I won't be getting mine until another delivery, currently scheduled for 6-8th December. Weird as my order had actually changed from 'Placed' to 'Processing' which they claim means stock has been allocated.

In other news I now actually have a 6600K which I was planning on sending back (it also took weeks to arrive and I thought I'd cancelled it!) - not sure whether to just build with the 6600K or hang around to see if ebuyer manage to extract their digits. Not impressed with their ability to keep their stock figures updated!

I've just had an Enote from them saying the reason I hadn't had my CPU yet was that it was a pre-order and they were expecting some in this morning but they hadn't had any delivered yet...

When I ordered (on Sunday) it said in stock and my delivery would be Tuesday (I had a free postage voucher for my account). I also ordered another component, this was also due on Tuesday but as Yodel were carrying it, it arrived today. If I'd known they were using Yodel (they're not listed as a courier that Ebuyer use) I wouldn't have bothered as they're terrible in the area where I live.

So far, I'm feeling pretty underwhelmed by Ebuyer.

The most common reason I hear for the inflated UK price is that demand is outstripping supply, so I doubt the new Skylake CPUs will appear in any Black Friday sale, or at least not the unlocked K-series. Haswell, perhaps, who knows. Still wondering if the Ebuyer price wasn't a mis-price meant for the non-K version. What made me suspicious is that such a big price discount didn't appear on their email promotions circular that day. Keen to hear if Ebuyer deliver, so will keep checking back, here!

I would double check with them before ordering. I've ordered mine on Saturday morning and still as 'order placed'.
yoyo59
17 Nov 15 #76
mine still says awaiting dispatch but because its from ebuyer im guessing its going to be a long wait as whenever I ordered free shipping its like ebuyer intentionally do not send your parcel out for like a week because you choose free delivery
thigger
17 Nov 15 #75
Hmmm... my order status changed yesterday from 'Placed' to 'Processing' - according to their site, 'Processing' means they've allocated stock. I'm on free delivery with ETA Friday.
I've been sat here with the rest of my new PC for weeks! Spent ages waiting for a 6600K which has finally arrived and am about to send it back - hoping ebuyer comes through!
saturos
17 Nov 15 #74
Just got a message saying they will receive it at the end of this week. Sounds that they are selling something they can't deliver. When I google search for reviews of ebuyer.com comes Rating: 9.3/10 & Rating: 4.8 - ‎36,074 reviews. Maybe we're in the 0.8 %?
maxwell689
17 Nov 15 #73
Mine is still awaiting dispatch with my order status as 'Order Placed'. It says on there that they expect more stock on 18th November. So we shall see if it ships tomorrow!

17 Nov 15 #72
I went for free delivery and my order still shows as processing - no indication of pre-order. I have ordered from ebuyer about 10 times and had 4 problems, none of which were handled very well. Much prefer to deal with Amazon.
saturos
17 Nov 15 1 #71
I've ordered it on Saturday morning and noticed that my order wasn't shipped yet. So I dropped them and eNote and got and answer saying that I did a pre-order for the product. I'm sure when I bought it was in stock and what is a bit upsetting is that they said that it was a pre-order. I also paid extra for next day delivery and confirmed that I would receive by the 17th.

Actually I paid extra on all other parts from different retailers for next day delivery and now I'll have everything apart from the CPU.

I avoid to buy from Amazon because all the giant corporation stuff ... but I had a problem with my order delivery and they sorted it very quickly for me. Got all my products delivered by today.
Synthesthesia
16 Nov 15 #69
I got an email saying they aren't in stock. However, I rang them and he says they have some due in on wednesday and he was allocating me one (if you can believe that- we'll see!).

I really hope they do though, I ordered all of the rest of the stuff I needed and most of it's coming tomorrow/ some came today. I'll be really annoyed if they cancel it, because I'll have to return the other items at my own cost.

yoyo59

mine still says awaiting dispatch I guess you was too late as I ordered nearly 2 days before you did, its just a case of keeping stock for people in the front of the queue I guess, bad luck man!
montblanc
16 Nov 15 #67
My Flubit order got cancelled due to 'lack of stock' when really I think they just didn't want to honour it at £60 less than the current price. Good job I didn't order any other parts. I'm totally gutted now because this means no new PC. Stuck with my Q6600 system for a (long?) while to come.
Noclouds
16 Nov 15 #66
The price is now £360, which is in line with a lot of other places in the UK. Oh, well. I'm curious, did anyone get one dispatched at the £273 price? If so, it would be good to read that you received a 6700K and not the non K version, which happened with an inaccurate listing on Amazon not long ago. Amazon finally changed the listing to i7 6700, but only after a lot of complaints in the customer comments section. Hopefully Ebuyer hasn't messed up, here. Let us know!
maxwell689
16 Nov 15 #65
I got an email earlier saying it was processed, they had taken payment and it was moving through the warehouse etc... So seems like it's moving along? But yeah.. It's back up to 300++ again so I'm glad I ordered! Surprised this didn't get hotter tbh.
thigger
16 Nov 15 #64
Any idea what the ebuyer order statuses are? Mine still says 'order placed' - I'm just concerned they may have over-sold their stock!
yoyo59

yoyo59
15 Nov 15 #59

montblanc
15 Nov 15 #58
I got a price of £256 now, I think I'll go for that, and hope that they don't cancel it. I think that at this point eBuyer are way way oversubscribed on this too
yoyo59
15 Nov 15 #57
yeah it is cheeky and no its not oem its boxed, I think it has to do with if you've purschased alot so if you have they dont give much discount but if you've only a few or your new I think they give you better discounts which is bs imo.
maxwell689
15 Nov 15 #56
Yeah I hope we did. Now just to get motherboard, ram, GPU and case etc etc!
montblanc
15 Nov 15 #55
Cheeky that they offer people such varying prices. It /has/ to be the same product right? Because the Ebuyer one is boxed and comes with a 3 year warranty (I'm assuming with Intel rather than ebuyer), if what Flubit send is OEM it only has 1 year warranty.

Gregorah to yoyo59
14 Nov 15 #32
I've read that stock out the box there is little difference. So I suppose very little reason to upgrade so soon. I think the only reason would be above mentioned future proofing and DDR4.

Bought this yesterday and thought it was a mis-price, like it was intended for the 6700 (not K). Didn't post it here incase it was a mis-price and increased orders led them to getting wise and started to cancel orders. Least I'm not lying

Was startled that it was near £100 cheaper than Amazon (at the time). So happy it puts my new build under the £1500 mark

You could say the exact same thing about the i7-6700K. Most people would be fine with slower and cheaper processors.

If you are buying this processor you're obviously not an average user since they wouldn't need an overclockable 4C/8T 'K' processor.

Flubit usually uses Fireworks Merchant which I believe belongs to them, it's flubit in disguise. They return anything within 14 days and you have a year warranty. It's obviously not amazon, some people had bad experience with them, some people were ok. I have been lucky enough so far and never had to return anything. They were mainly fishing rods and such.

montblanc
14 Nov 15 1 #15
My pc is a Q6600 basically on life support with an SSD and 8gb of ram. As my pc is so old, is this the chip to get when building something new? I do mostly music production, a bit of games and video. No heatsink and fan? So much to think about and so little time to order. '100+ people are about to buy this'
dezontk to montblanc
14 Nov 15 #28
perhaps, I went from the exact same specs you mentioned, poor 6600 was overclocked to 3.6 for basically 7 years. I got a 4790k and all the rest as I found much better deals for that and it's mobos than the new generation, which add very little for a single card gamer like myself. and I had weeks to think about it. if there's a £100 or more difference perhaps consider the same route. 4790k just eats the q6600. difference in everything from every day system use to heavy gaming. doesn't skip a beat.

That SSD is a pointless upgrade for the majority of home usage cases which aren't bottlenecked by much cheaper SATA SSDs. If you are driving down the M4 at 75 the fact that you car can hit 170 is irrelevant. Some people are easily seduced by benchmarks that have little to no bearing on real world usage.

I've been reading all the differences (and sometimes "non" differences) between this chip and previous chips - but I find myself in the position that I need to do a new build. So have taken the plunge with this. Now to source some of the other parts I need (namely motherboard, ram and gpu - I've got all the other bits)...

14 Nov 15 #10
Unless you need the 4 extra PCI-e lanes, there's no real reason. I think the average clocking 6700k goes to around 4.7 (from what I have seen at least), but I'm pretty happy with my 5820k @ 4625MHz tbh, and at the current rate of progress I see myself keeping this for the next 3-5 years.
yoyo59
14 Nov 15 #9
I always upgrade everytime intel release a new mainstream chip.. this time I really cant see it

if skylake was a good overclocker and could hit 5hz easy I would of had one by now but most struggle to get 4.6 when ive already got the 4790k @ 4.8 its hard to see the point

Should have known the Amazon was a price match. Good find! Is there some reason Amazon struggle to get stock from Intel, it seems to happen a lot with the i5 6600K and i7 6700K, or at least at direct from Amazon/decent price points. At last, a faintly sane price, if you were going the LGA 1151 platform route, anyway.
