I just got rid of my Chromebook for a Asus X205TA. Got it new off eBay for £124 (actually less by the time I'd applied a load of discount codes and Nectar points etc) and I have to say it's a damn sight better than my old Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook.

I bought a refurb for 101 @ Argos ebay, upgraded to windows 10 and is probably one of the fastest laptops I have every used.

But why buy a Windows laptop if you don't need windows only apps. If all it's going to be used for is web browsing, light office work and email then a Chromebook in this price range is much faster
