Been looking at chromebooks and posted Lenovo N20 deal from Argos ebay earlier. Also seen this HP14 at John Lewis. Cheapest price I can find and comes with 2 years guarantee. Both Green & Silver options still @£219.95.

Seen this on display at John Lewis, track pad is very smooth. Feels quite different to my Toshiba Chromebook 2 HD to touch.

Hp has two new Chromebooks coming out any moment, one of which has a full HD 1920x1080 screen

sorry can't vote hot for a CB with 2 gig of ram, it just isn't enough anymore, you'll regret it. source: I own a Toshiba CB first gen with 2 gig of ram.

Loving the look of the new Dell Chromebook 13, although obviously can't be compared to this pricewise.
Personally, I have the Intel/4GB version of this and wouldn't swap. The extra ram is incredibly useful if you're planning on using crouton and playing games on Linux. Also not sure about how compatible various distros (and indeed Steam) are with ARM processors or the states of the builds so can't really comment on it.
If using just as a chrome OS device then could probably get something for cheaper - however the guarantee perhaps makes it worth it. I'm voting hot anyway to spread the Chromebook love

Typing on the intel model right now. Love the little machine, very light and enjoy the extra bump in ram for sideloading into Linux. Makes basic graphic design etc a breeze. Bought mine from Argos Ebay outlet refurbed (A1) for £109. Came in brand new condition, can't vote hot on this, sorry!

Too many downsides to this HP Chromebook - the nvidia cpu being the biggest... And I love my HP Chromebook (Intel CPU)

Agree about the 2GB RAM. I bought the Lenovo N20 with 4GB RAM and at £70 less than this from Argos Outlet. Available there at £149 brand new and a much better bet than this HP.
