A DVD player with an HD TV is an odd choice, as surely Blu-Rays are needed for HD.

Anyone know how the visual quality of this set looks (Not looking for Sony standards but a decent 1080p HD) and my biggest concern is the sound, given the slim nature of the TV it would seem sound may not be best. Looking to get for Xmas but given the cheap price and big size, surely too good to be true?

Visual quality on HD channels is brilliant, we were all very impressed if not even a little surprised!
It is as good as any other TV I've had on other digital channels
The volume needs a bit of tweaking on all their different 'pre sets' ie vocal volume is low against music on one setting, music is too low against vocals on another, but with a bit of messing and perseverance it is okay now.
