Is this HDMI to Micro HMDI or USB to Micro USB? Surely HDMI to Micro Usb would be as useful as trying to connect the two ports with a string of spaghetti?

The description is right, these are like slim port adapters to allow you to output your Android phone etc to the TV

Just had a look never seen one before. You cant charge your phone at same time as you do with an mhl adapter, so it could be a pain in the ass when your batterys running low.

I bought one months ago to see if they were any use for either an LG G2 or HTC One X. Worked on neither. What is the purpose of the cable as I couldn't find one on google.

Not sure its MHL as MHL requires an external power source to power the internal components.

I bought this and found it useless. I've got one device that supports MHL and another that is slimport. This cable didn't work with either device.
