This is a Which? recommended Don't Buy just so you're aware. Text from their website reads;
"The Junior Maxi scores three stars for front-crash protection, but in a side crash, with the back fitted, we gave it just two stars as we found it exposed the child to a risk of serious injury. It was even worse with the back removed, offering virtually no side-impact protection at all. The side-impact protection is so poor overall, we recommend you don't buy this seat."
This scored a terrible 20% in Which tests it scored so badly they awarded it a DON'T BUY!!
It scores 3 out of 5 stars on front impact crash
2 stars on side impact protection

I wouldn't even use one of these as a spare, probably not so bad for the older kids that are just a little too short to do without. I don't really understand why some parents were in a race to get their kids into the next stage. Got friends who got their kids onto little booster cushions the minute they could. My lids 7 & 9 both still sit in their proper car seats because they offer so much better protection than just a booster seat. My eldest is tall enough to not even need the booster but they can both stay in their seats until they get to heavy for them.
Don't know about anyone else but ibdont think could live with myself if in a serious accident in a cheap seat and something happened to them you'd be wondering what if they'd been in a better seat etc etc.
Some things are worth spending decent money on imho!

save your money it's poorly made and very thin fabric so won't be comfortable for little one

Its really worth looking to spend between £100-200 on a good seat for your kids, not only will it be more comfortable but it could be the difference between life & death. Check out reviews though as not all expensive seats are good.

You are absolutely right. Don't save money when it comes to child's safety.
