is there a lot of difference between sloe gin and the normal dry gin?

yes, lots. It has the flavour of the sloes, plus it won't be as strong.
This is pretty good stuff but I prefer making my own. (top tip for anyone else who makes it. Don't discard the used sloes. Put a load of still cider back in the jar and leave that for a couple of weeks!)

Yes, there is a lot of difference.
Sloe gin is a dry but fruity (the sloes) spirit drink. I have made my own in the past but the Gordon's one is really nice and this is a good price. However, it is nothing like "plain" gin.

Sloe gin is gorgeous. Normal gin... Bleuch... Devils work!
Sloe is fruity but dry and is lovely with lemonade.
