Bargain Booze are selling a 70cl bottle of the glenlivet founder's reserve, got this at the liverpool one in aigburth, but it's on the website, so it looks like it's national. On the website it's coming up on the special offers section.
Also if you'd like to make it a bit more personalized, Signature Spirit are offering free labels that you can put on the bottle. I did one for my dad for christmas, the link is https://www.yoursignaturespirit.com/ and it takes about 2 weeks to deliver.

Ok for 20 quid.....Although this a poor replacement for the old 12 year old.

agreed. also didn't the 12 year old usually drop down to £20 each year as xmas approached? I still have one bottle unopened from last xmas.

Not recently, used to be a decent deal on a good malt was £20, last year it was £25. The bigger distilleries seem to have released one's like this and Talisker Storm, no age and at a fairly hefty RRP. My guess will be that these will be the Christmas bargains this year. Don't think we saw a Glenfiddich below about £27 last year.

efinitely preferred the 12, there is also a master distillers reserve which may be an airport exclusive. If they have to replace the 12, that is a better option. My guess is that these 'specials' appeal more to the US market so they thought they would try founders on the UK to see how we react. I have been buying the glenfiddich 15 Solera when on offer (can ususally find in one supermarket at 32-35) and wouldn't go back even if they put the 12 back in the shelves - it's worth a few quid more.

If you are puzzling over which bottle of single malt whiskey for a present, or if you want to know more about malt whiskey in general try the beginners section on this website: - http://www.maltmadness.com/malt-whisky/beginners-guide-to-scotch.html
I would prefer the Glenlivet French Oak 15yo over the one listed here, it has been as low as £27 for 700cl.
£19.99 for a single malt isn't bad though.
Bottoms up!
